User reviews

It’s Okay

I have the pro version. It’s good, but has room for improvement.
I really like all the data and the explanations of what’s being tracked and how that translates into longevity over time or regression. 💗
The things I don’t like:
It’s like having a pessimistic doctor. There’s zero encouragement to improve. 😂
It doesn’t give any opinion to tailor it to your needs other than averages for age and data from your health app. Like most people, I have health issues that I have to take into consideration: blood pressure issues [According to the CDC, 48.1% (approximately 119.9 million adults.)], an autoimmune condition (1 in 15 people in the United States.) and a rotator cuff issue (20-22% of the world population based on various studies.)
It would be a much more useful tool to the majority of older people who want to improve their health if it wasn’t based on idealistic metrics for the age group. Yes, that is where you want to be, but it’s not encouraging you to get there in a safe manner.
And, if you worked out and didn’t record it with an app or your watch, it treats it like it didn’t happen. Would be very useful to be able to log manually.

Response from developer

Thank you - this is one of the most useful reviews I have had and you're right on all four counts. Right now the app has one reference frame (age norms) and one input path (Apple Health). If your body or your logging habits differ from that, it just keeps telling you you're behind. That's not the coach we set out to build. Here's what's coming: • Health context you can enter yourself - blood pressure, autoimmune conditions, joint limitations and more - so tips and targets adapt instead of assuming an ideal body. Advice that isn't right for you gets replaced with a safe alternative, not just removed. • Targets that start where you are and step up gradually, with the age-appropriate ideal shown as a horizon rather than as this week's bar to clear. • Manual workout logging, so a session you didn't record with a watch still counts. • Recognition of progress against your own history, not just the norm table - so improvement shows up as improvement. Thank you for the detail and for the prevalence numbers. They made the case internally better than we could have. 💚
