It has potential
I was expecting something quicker, sometimes very often he doesn’t respond. The delay in replies are almost like 1999 tech, it’s not what I thought it would be and they need to improve. If chat GPT can answer within seconds then I feel Looi could do the same. It really is more for children and has used it only a couple of times. Waited many times for updates and there isn’t very much improvement at all. Maybe in a year he might improve but I’m not sure of that.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!! So bad!!!!! This is a joke it is so bad. It does nothing at all. It’s a brick that you can plug in. The update gives the brick headlights. Its memory is so bad it stops you when you answer it to ask you what question it asked you: this is so bad and it is really really expensive for novelty junk you actually get. This is so bad. Where is the original voice?
I have the most recent update to the app, but the original Looi voice is not selectable! What happened? Big downgrade from the developers to remove this voice many of us liked and without asking the community.
It was so close
LOOI was an interesting robot that was amazing in a lot of ways, but the app was just so bad like he would not talk anymore so it makes him practically useless since he is meant to be mostly for talking. So close people.

before i could even interact with looi i was told to give access to bluetooth and every time i did, nothing happened so i cant use this app

The app won’t even open. Keeps crashing. We named our LOOI “GPS”. It stands for glorified phone stand. Sad. Returning and deleting app.

A long explanation is honestly not necessary. You take a picture of your face yet the facial recognition does work. Looi does not follow you or look at you. It very poorly designed plus they DO NOT accept returns as it comes from China.

Does not work with newer iPhone 17 Pro models running latest iOS.
I’m running iOS 26.2 with Looi App 2.6.2. The app never registers Motion & Fitness or Camera permissions, and does not appear in Privacy & Security lists. The robot hangs on the “Attach Phone” screen and doesn’t go beyond that point, rendering it essentially useless. This appears to be an iOS26 CoreMotion compatibility issue. Hopefully LOOI will provide an update soon so that i can actually try out the robot.

Can’t get to work!
I’m not able to get past the verification code to my email to set up an account because it keeps saying code error. I’ve got this expensive product and no way of using it now.

Disappointing
I just got LOOI today after buying into the reviews on YouTube.
1: the response time is slow. I ask it a question and it takes several seconds to respond back for a simple question like “how are you”.
2: inconsistent response. Straight out of the box, I asked LOOI about current events and it gave me answers about today’s news. After updating the firmware, it now tells me it can’t tell me anything since it last updated in 2023…not even today’s WEATHER
I have a while till my return window closes, but if there aren’t patches before then, this is going back for a refund :(
