About

A call or text comes in from a number you don't recognize. Look it up: caller ID on file, voice and messaging provider, whether it's mobile or landline, for US and Canadian numbers. It never reads your contacts, call history, or messages. What a lookup shows Run a number and see the caller ID name on file, the voice provider, the messaging provider, and the line type. Works on US and Canadian numbers. Starting a lookup Share a number or a contact card straight to Lookup Pass from the iOS share sheet. Or start one from Spotlight, Siri, or the Action Button. Call screening Turn on call screening and numbers already known for scam or robocall activity are labeled before they reach you. Numbers flagged as scams can also be blocked so they never ring; you choose that in My Pass. Robocall and spam numbers are labeled and still ring. Unknown callers always ring through, unlabeled. Only numbers already on the list are affected. Screening is off by default. You turn it on in Settings, and the list refreshes on your device. How a number gets flagged Numbers are flagged from FTC Do Not Call complaint records (numbers consumers have reported to the FTC for robocalls, scams, or unwanted calls) and from reports by Lookup Pass subscribers. Subscriber reports label a number for everyone only after several different subscribers report it. What a clean result means A clean result means nothing has been reported against that number. It does not mean the number is safe. Treat it as the absence of a warning, not a recommendation. Watching your own number A spam label can land on your number and everyone notices except you - the people who quietly stop picking up. Protect your own number and Lookup Pass rechecks it every month against the spam and scam databases we use, with an email if its flag, caller ID, or carrier changes. Reporting a caller Report a number as scam or robocall from inside the app. Your report feeds the same shared reputation that protects other subscribers. Privacy Blocking happens on your device. The app is never told your phone rang. It compares incoming calls locally against a downloaded list. It never reads your contacts, call history, or messages. No ads, no analytics trackers, no advertising identifier. Subscription Lookup Pass is a monthly subscription billed through your Apple Account: one week free for new subscribers, then $19.99 per month. It renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Lookup Pass Family and lookup packs are separate in-app purchases. Account deletion is available in the app under My Pass.
