i love it but..
i discovered this app through the developers reddit post a few months ago and ever since then i loved this app, though can’t the yearly subscription be 10$ or 15$…💔
its really useful and the app solved a great doomscrolling issue for me, and i really want to subscribe but i feel like for us who aren’t in first world countries, 20$ is a bit much,
other than than great app i recommend 👍🏼

Glad I found this app
I have been wanting to watch YouTube without the distraction of YouTube shorts for years now and am so happy this app exists. Works well and removes shorts content from both the shorts tab and the home page!
So helpful!!
This app has been amazing! I used to always delete the IG app off of my phone to be less distracted, but would end up logging in on the web to reply to DM’s or check friend’s stories, and every. single. time. I got sucked into reels and ended up scrolling. This app allows me to use the parts of IG that I love without the distractions!! 👏🏼

You need this app
I've struggled with spending too much time on social media so much and this app makes it easy to see the content I want without getting distracted by posts / reels from people I don't follow! Highly recommend
Adds back that much needed friction
Social media apps are designed well… too well. They say that the best UI design is the one you never thought about in the first place and the treachery of the “infinite scroll” has consumed our attention.
LoomWeb gives that freedom back! I use LoomWeb for YouTube as I find it to be my vice, the other social media apps just don’t really do it for me personally. Having used this app for about 2 weeks now, I removed YTShorts and recommend videos after watching. It removes the infinite feedback loop of “Watch a video -> See video in recommended -> Watch the next video”. Instead, you have to manually go back to the YouTube homepage in order to get a new video. I don’t know why, but I expected this to be 1 to 1 with the YouTube app, it isn’t. It uses the YT website and blocks certain elements (like Shorts) from being clickable/popping up at all. I think one of the main downsides to this app is the subscription model. Honestly, I might’ve paid for the premium version if it were under a one-time payment system, but I understand that development is no small cost and it’s a genuine human-focused service. The free version of the app does all the features that I need, being that it allows you to use 1 of the 4 available apps and all of its block-able features [Facebook, Instagram, X (previously Twitter), and Youtube]. All in all, I highly recommend you try this app, at least for a week. See what your social media experience could be like, if only it had a little more friction to it.
Notes for the developer(s): PLEASE don’t take away the free version that allows access to one of the looms. I’m not saying that you would, I just really appreciate the fact that my needs are met by the free version and I really appreciate such a generous introduction to the software! I told my friend to download this app because he’s addicted to Instagram and he’s told me that it’s been helping him get out of doomscrolling and get back to doing the things he loves. I’m SURE that it’s a million times easier said than done and I’m sure that it’s in the works (if it’s possible at all), but try to develop a TikTok loom. It might honestly involve you making your own player or something, but if you can do to TikTok even a modicum of what you did to the other apps, than I will literally force every single person around me to download this app. You do great work, I saw this app from a Reddit thread and I’m incredibly impressed with it. Thank you!

Response from developer
Thank you for the thoughtful review! I'm happy to hear that the app has made a positive change in your life. I don't plan on restricting the free tier; the philosophy is to make all the core functionality available in the free version, and only charge for convenience features to help cover development costs. Will do my best to include TikTok in the future - I've definitely wanted to include it, but the web version feels bad at the moment. Thanks again for the feedback!
