Thank you

I want to thanks for the daily tip. I am grateful for this support community 🙏🏻

I’m Just the President. I’m Also a Client!

I cofounded Loosid with MJ and Zhanna. I’d like to hear your thoughts, suggestions, ideas, concerns and angry outbursts.

Terrible, truly terrible.

Nothing but bots. And not even good ones. Obvious AI conversations from people no where near my locale.

Loosid

Was told on facebook free!! As usual waste of my time as not free

Response from developer

Loosid is FREE to download and use. We have kept it free since inception 2018. The only premium feature is the SAM™ daily sober mentor, and that is the only time you may see a paywall. However, we also have a scholarship program for anyone experiencing financial hardship. If you do see the paywall, you can simply close it by tapping the “X” in the top right corner.

Not free

This app was advertised as free which it isn’t. So I paid for it and it didn’t help.

paywall

being immediately greeted with a pay wall in a sober space feels against the principles, should be a donation based, free app and space to align with core values of recovery

Love the community

I love that this app has the basics for tracking sobriety and all that but also feels like a full social network type of platform.

Error code LEC -12

It keeps saying yall are undergoing maintenance for almost 24 hours…. When will it be done…

Too Many Scammers

Great Concept. But way too many scammers on this platform.

Recovery,,,made beautiful!

Great app to go to for support and give support, if your
In luck!

Can’t change range

I’m In Toronto and everyone is either in different parts of Ontario or the US. 50km away is way too far. Wouldn’t recommend this app.

Response from developer

Hello brenfudge! If you’re referring to our dating app, there are options to reduce or expand the mile range under the “Dating Preferences” button. Please reach out to us at support@loosidapp.com and we’ll guide you through it.

Jouraling

To me it's like journaling. A way to express myself and document my recovery

Not a recovery app

This is not an app for people who are serious about recovery.

Disingenuous

So I gave Loosid a try and all was going well for a while. One day I couldn’t log in. I contacted the developers about the issue and they had noted that my account was banned for using a cartoon for my profile picture. Did it not occur to them that many of the users on this app may not want to use a personal photo? People want to stay anonymous when discussing the matters that this app was designed for. Good golly! It gets worse. I wrote a review on the play store and the developer response was just a lie. He or she indicated that I was just banned from the dating section only. Thankfully I got reinstated but now I just don’t want to taint my phone with this app because I see how disingenuous the staff is. One star is more than generous for this giant L.

Response from developer

Hello Mickey! Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. To clarify, your account was banned specifically from the Dating side of the platform because it included a profile with a cartoon image. Our users in the Dating section frequently report accounts that don’t feature real photos, as the community generally prefers interacting with profiles showcasing genuine individuals. We also appreciate you letting us know about the messaging issues. We’re actively working on improvements to ensure smoother and more responsive communication for all users. Your patience and feedback mean a lot to us as we continue improving the platform and user experience. Thank you again!

Profiting from Recovery

I’ve used this for a few months and gave it a chance. It’s clear they just want to make money off recovering addicts. For one, I constantly get notifications to buy stuff in the shop. Often, those notifications appear in other areas, like matches on the dating section. I also got a free trial that would be $30/month after I forget about it.

You can get more from recovery groups on regular social apps. This has no groups, pages, communities, walls, events, etc. Nothing but a singular feed curated by the staff. Also, since the dating app is so limited and lacking, the community side is 50% guys commenting on women, and 50% guys trying to sound dramatic like Bill W.

It’s a proof of concept - minimally viable. Not worth $30/mo simply because it has a generic LLM attached.

Response from developer

Hello cldevdad! Loosid has been free to download and use since 2018. The only optional premium feature is the SAM™ daily sober mentor, and even that includes a scholarship program for those facing financial hardship, because access to support should never depend on money. If you’re receiving notifications, they’re meant to highlight features that many in the community find helpful. And while we’re constantly evolving, Loosid was built to offer a safe space for people in recovery, not to mimic mainstream social media. If you ever want to revisit the app or explore what’s new, we’re here.

Thanks Loosid!

Helped me out tot find like minded people, driven torwards the same goal. Great tool when you aren’t able to speak to a sponsor or need some little umph on your own time

Glitches frequently

The app glitches a lot. I constantly get failure to save my city for my location. I kept getting an error code 500 when I was setting up my premium account. I love the idea of this app however, there are definitely are some kinks. It needs to work out

Response from developer

Makes you use your full name

They've disabled the option to create an account using your email. The options they offer create an account with your full name. I don't want to use my full name and I think the user should be allowed this privacy. I did initially create an account but thought better of it and deleted it. Also deleted the app.

$29 a month? For what?

First of all, I reached out to the owner years ago and told him all of the things I’m about to tell you.

Big guys too busy charging people $30 a month for a terrible app.

How is it that there’s a social media that you can’t pick your username?

What year is it?

You can get literally everything in this app other places and the $30 price tag is such a joke.

The dating app is even worse And I find that hard to believe but it’s true.

The sad truth is these people are not in the recovery business. They are in the capitalism business, and if they truly cared about people, they would make the app better and make it more affordable.

Make sure you leave them a review ! Especially if you hate the app as much as I do
