Fantastic Synth
I bought this app a few years ago but I never really explored its potential…..until now. My goodness what a fantastic sounding synth, the more I delve into making presets the better it gets. This is definitely a “must have” synth
Great low-cost intro to synthesizers.
This has been around for so long I almost avoided it for that reason alone but needn’t have worried, it all works. This is compact and so you can layer it up even on a relatively low-powered device. Good for exploring how sounds are created from scratch, for example. And nice presets anyway, still quite a lot of them!
(I’d always recommend Apple Silicon though, and as much memory as you can, for iPad-based music, especially if like me you use GarageBand - this baby DAW does do useful automatic downgrading of any VST (Audio Unit) and indeed any, sound source it records, when you come to ‘export’ a final stereo output for example. Yes, that is useful, in that your more complex tracks will play, but the degradation can be 11kHz sampling instead of 44kHz…so you may play an individual track and it sounds lovely, but on GB exporting, it’s all quietly crunched.)

Classic Analog
If you’re looking for the more “unique” sound of their other synths this def isn’t for you but if you’re looking for a classic synth sound in Iceworks Format then this is the one.

Core subtractive synth
Regular classic synth sounds. Reason for high rating is this is very efficient, low cpu for most things, which is always an issue on iPad versus laptop.
Great synth
Vastly underrated synth, grimy grungy baselines to screaming distorted leads are easy achievable and very uniquely sounding. Not to be missed by any iOS synth addict IMHO.
Cassini and Polysix had a baby!
I thought this would be just a generic polysynth, but after reading the reviews, I decided to give it a shot. This is a really fun app, and I'm glad it now has AU support! If you like the simplicity of the Polysix, you'll love this. It doesn't sound as smooth or dampy as the polysix, but it still combines what makes the iPolysix fun with the modern and quirky traits of Cassini.

Bin begeistert vom Lorentz!
Eine vorbildliche Einseitenoberfläche mit optimaler Ausnutzung der Displayfläche!
Erinnert ein wenig an das Konzept vom Roland alpha Juno 1/2 mit zusätzlichen Features wie dem Resonator, dem auch hochstimmbaren Suboszillator (-24/-12/+7/+12/+19 Halbtöne) und einem im Delay verbauten aber für den Gesamtklang nutzbaren zusätzlichen modulierbaren Lowpassfilter.
Der Klang steht wesentlich teureren iOS Synths in nichts nach ist dabei eigenständig und generell Geschmackssache.
Dabei ganz mein Geschmack, was nicht zu clean klingende Pads und Leadsound angeht!
Der Arpeggiator macht Laune!
Wünsche: 2. LFO, Tempotap für Liveperformancetauglichkeit mit den Arpeggiator, Modulationsradzuweisung. die maximale Rate des Delaylowpassfilters könnte schneller sein, Audiounit Support.

The (kind of) Roland alpha Juno concept plus additional features such as the resonator, an uptuneable suboscillator (-24 / -12 / + 7 / + 12 / + 19 halftones) and a delay with additional to modulate lowpass filter. The sound is not too clean, good for pads and lead sounds! The arpeggiator is fun!
My Desires: 2th LFO, tempo Tap in the Arpeggiatorwindow for better liveperformance, modulation wheel assignment. The maximum rate of the Delaylow pass filter could be faster, Audiounit Support.

Lorentz is a BEAST
I own a LOT of iPad audio apps and well over 30 iOS synths. Of those, there are only a handful I would use for professional recording, such as Moog Model 15, Animoog, Korg ARP Odessei, Nave, and a few others. I would put Lorentz in that elite group. It can sound like a Jupiter 8 or a CS80 or even a 303. The routing is amazing… the filters are top-notch (a full LPF on just the Delay)… and that resonator just fills the sound with harmonics. Lorentz does dark and gritty very well too. It has all the MIDI options needed as well as Link. Did I mention it has dual envelopes? The other IceWorks synths are great too but this is my dog right here.

Link has strange property
Love all iceworks apps. I have all the recent Link-enabled ones and they are always the first ones I open during a session.
For some reason, when the apps join the network they interrupt the tempo of the session first instead of looking at what the current tempo is first and changing to that.
This can really jumble what would otherwise be a seamless and enjoyable experience.
All the synths sound great and I love the arp and hold buttons. I also love that they have standard midi functionality.

Excellent synth at bargain price!
This is a great product, easy to use yet incredibly variable, and different enough to my many other synths to earn its place in the collection. Excellent.

Glideが音色に登録されない。
単一画面でほぼ全てのパラメーターを設定できる事や、マスターチューンやトランスポーズが設定出来るのは素晴らしいですが、音色毎にGlideの設定がメモリー出来ないのは、かなり残念。

Resonator!
Love the resonator section in this app. This is a solid, mostly one-page synth made special by the resonator that transforms every patch in beautiful and dissonant ways. Well worth the price for this effect alone.

Good synth for working with bass, pads, leads, poly. Nice clean one-page interface, only other window is for the arp. (And it's a really good arp too, jam on it in real time.) LPF on the delay does lead to some interesting patches if you are a delay junkie. Not overloaded with presets but most of what they include are usable, very few of the "I created this amazing patch that you are never going to use" type. Dual filters remind me of my Virus. More of a "digital" sound than synths like iSEM or iMini, but not harsh. Reliable too. Audiobus is solid. Midi learn. You can create your own folders for user presets. You can create arp presets too. All good.

Ich habe echt viele, auch von den überteuerten 20€ Synthis aber dieser kleine unscheinbare Lorenz schlägt fast alle. Im Sound, in der sehr übersichtlichen Bedienung und seiner Einfachheit und den vielfältigen Modulationsmöglichkeiten.
Und das Tolle ist, alles spielt sich auf einer Seite ab. Für Sounddoktoren genau das richtige. Für Preset süchtige Spielkälber eher nichts, denn die richtig guten Sounds muss man sich erarbeiten. Und über gute Boxen oder Kopfhörer kommt richtig was raus aus der Kiste

Great VA sound
Can't go wrong with this one, if you're looking for bread and butter virtual analog sound. Reminds me of a single-instance of Nord Lead. I have many other iOS synths already, but once again IceGear developer proves their instruments are simple yet effective and useful. I dig it!
