I’ve been really enjoying this game so far, there’s nothing else like it in terms of quality and lore for otome games. I wasn’t even into this kind of stuff before, I was a casual mobile player at best. I’ve loved discovering the story and the battle mode. I want Valko to be released as originally promised!!

Great Game, Disappointing Developer Decisions
The game was a breath of fresh air when it first launched. While the core idea wasn’t entirely original, its outstanding visuals and polished gameplay immediately set it apart from the competition.
Unfortunately, over time it has become clear that the developers are unwilling to listen to the entire player base and are actively hurting their own project. It feels like the company is focused almost exclusively on the Chinese community, while forgetting that players from all over the world also support the game and spend money on it.
The lack of even basic subtitles, including Russian, and the cancellation of an officially announced character simply because part of the Chinese community disliked them speaks volumes. Meanwhile, countless requests and petitions from players in other regions have been ignored.
Personally, I wasn’t even particularly excited about that character. That’s not the point. Everyone has different tastes, and that’s perfectly fine. The real issue is that the developers announced the character, invested time and resources into their development, and then canceled everything because of backlash from only one part of the community. That sets a very worrying precedent.
Character development isn’t free. If months of work are suddenly scrapped, those costs still have to be recovered somehow. It’s hard not to wonder who will ultimately pay for those decisions. The game is already expensive, and as a completely free-to-play player, it’s becoming increasingly difficult to enjoy.
Until the developers start respecting the global community and treating feedback from all regions equally, I cannot recommend investing either your time or your money in this game.
