Love this Series, but this isnt my favorite game
I feel like this is a let down after LLSIF. The horizonal card art looks awkward like it is just an anime screengrab instead of an intentiinal card design. I also miss having complete costume theme sets, these there are only 3 randomly chosen girls to match up and only SRs have matched team costumes.
Also kinda inconvenient that i have to be signed in to game center to reload my progress rather than the transfer passcodes from LLSIF, my phone got hacked so i had to completely restart because my apple ID wasnt secure. Would not have been a problem in LLSIF.
There is also a lack of game setting personalization as compared to LLSIF and a lack of game mechanic transparency. It was very clear in the previous game what effect on the team each attribute had, and what one could do to optimize your team, this one is much more secret about how each stat effects the final result.
I also personally hate flick notes but that is a personal preference.

Amazing game however ...
i really love this game so much . i love the animations on Live Shows , the scouting thing ( mostly the URs but still ) , and how it’s optional to attach Rina’s board . however , i have some things to rant about : whenever i tap the buttons on live shows correctly , it just takes off stamina ! idk why it does it but it needs to stop ! if we even do a correct tap and lose stamina , then what’s even the point of doing a Live ?! im currently on Chapter 9 with the first stage ( Bokura Wa Ima No Naka De ) and it just keeps on failing even if i do the taps correctly and taking of stamina . pls fix this problem im very mad with rn .
thats the end of my review . i hope my problem about this mentioned above will be fixed soon . thank you .

Stunning Visuals
I was amazed by the visuals for a mobile game. And most importantly the games dedication to have weekly events and monthly updates. Makes the game addictive and I never wanna miss a day! I guess that’s the gacha life. Rates for gacha are much better than the previous. game. Gameplay is also really fun with the 3D animated visuals and collectible costumes and cards to play in real time. The RPG elements are great for someone who enjoys the grind and card collecting aspect of gacha games. However if you are into the rhythm aspect of games it takes a while until you will be able to play more advanced songs without dying. Great game!

Fun for a Love Live fan
The first thing to know about All Stars is that, as stated, it’s an RPG. This means your success in the game will depend much more on boosting your units’ stats than on your ability to tap notes on time, and there’s a little bit of strategy involved. If you want a more standard, non-RPG Love Live rhythm game, play the older School Idol Festival game.
The second thing to be aware of is that, if you are not familiar with Love Live, your enjoyment of the game may increase greatly if you first watch the Love Live! School Idol Project and Love Live! Sunshine! anime series. Not only are they good shows, they will also introduce you to 18 of the characters featured in this game, and having some attachment to these characters will just make this game more fun for you. However, the story’s main focus is on a new, original set of characters, so don’t worry too much about it.
I like this game quite a lot. There’s a good selection of songs, the story is better than expected, and I get good new units often enough (without paying) to keep me happy. My biggest complaint is that I’ve reached a point where it feels impossible to upgrade my units enough to beat any of the harder difficulty songs. I figure I’ll get there eventually, but it may take a while.

Love Love Live! But Hate the Stamina System
Love the gameplay. Love the franchise. Love the music. Love the characters. Love the story. But songs basically being locked behind stamina is the WORST! I just wanna play the songs on advanced man. I find any song level lower than advanced to just be… too slow. I don’t know if other rhythm games have ruined me but intermediate and ESPECIALLY easy are really boring. Advanced levels are the only levels that are fun to play because of their more difficult notes and faster pace. But it’s really hard to actually play those levels because of their stamina requirements. Trick notes that take like all of my stamina are literally SO ANNOYING because I know I could actually clear the song with out them. For me, at least, it feels like just an artificial way to make things “harder” and force players to either roll for better cards or continuously play to grind for materials to level up their cards. It’s annoying. Not a fan!
