Love this Series, but this isnt my favorite game

I feel like this is a let down after LLSIF. The horizonal card art looks awkward like it is just an anime screengrab instead of an intentiinal card design. I also miss having complete costume theme sets, these there are only 3 randomly chosen girls to match up and only SRs have matched team costumes.
Also kinda inconvenient that i have to be signed in to game center to reload my progress rather than the transfer passcodes from LLSIF, my phone got hacked so i had to completely restart because my apple ID wasnt secure. Would not have been a problem in LLSIF.
There is also a lack of game setting personalization as compared to LLSIF and a lack of game mechanic transparency. It was very clear in the previous game what effect on the team each attribute had, and what one could do to optimize your team, this one is much more secret about how each stat effects the final result.
I also personally hate flick notes but that is a personal preference.

Amazing game however ...

i really love this game so much . i love the animations on Live Shows , the scouting thing ( mostly the URs but still ) , and how it’s optional to attach Rina’s board . however , i have some things to rant about : whenever i tap the buttons on live shows correctly , it just takes off stamina ! idk why it does it but it needs to stop ! if we even do a correct tap and lose stamina , then what’s even the point of doing a Live ?! im currently on Chapter 9 with the first stage ( Bokura Wa Ima No Naka De ) and it just keeps on failing even if i do the taps correctly and taking of stamina . pls fix this problem im very mad with rn .

thats the end of my review . i hope my problem about this mentioned above will be fixed soon . thank you .

Stunning Visuals

I was amazed by the visuals for a mobile game. And most importantly the games dedication to have weekly events and monthly updates. Makes the game addictive and I never wanna miss a day! I guess that’s the gacha life. Rates for gacha are much better than the previous. game. Gameplay is also really fun with the 3D animated visuals and collectible costumes and cards to play in real time. The RPG elements are great for someone who enjoys the grind and card collecting aspect of gacha games. However if you are into the rhythm aspect of games it takes a while until you will be able to play more advanced songs without dying. Great game!

Fun for a Love Live fan

The first thing to know about All Stars is that, as stated, it’s an RPG. This means your success in the game will depend much more on boosting your units’ stats than on your ability to tap notes on time, and there’s a little bit of strategy involved. If you want a more standard, non-RPG Love Live rhythm game, play the older School Idol Festival game.

The second thing to be aware of is that, if you are not familiar with Love Live, your enjoyment of the game may increase greatly if you first watch the Love Live! School Idol Project and Love Live! Sunshine! anime series. Not only are they good shows, they will also introduce you to 18 of the characters featured in this game, and having some attachment to these characters will just make this game more fun for you. However, the story’s main focus is on a new, original set of characters, so don’t worry too much about it.

I like this game quite a lot. There’s a good selection of songs, the story is better than expected, and I get good new units often enough (without paying) to keep me happy. My biggest complaint is that I’ve reached a point where it feels impossible to upgrade my units enough to beat any of the harder difficulty songs. I figure I’ll get there eventually, but it may take a while.

Love Love Live! But Hate the Stamina System

Love the gameplay. Love the franchise. Love the music. Love the characters. Love the story. But songs basically being locked behind stamina is the WORST! I just wanna play the songs on advanced man. I find any song level lower than advanced to just be… too slow. I don’t know if other rhythm games have ruined me but intermediate and ESPECIALLY easy are really boring. Advanced levels are the only levels that are fun to play because of their more difficult notes and faster pace. But it’s really hard to actually play those levels because of their stamina requirements. Trick notes that take like all of my stamina are literally SO ANNOYING because I know I could actually clear the song with out them. For me, at least, it feels like just an artificial way to make things “harder” and force players to either roll for better cards or continuously play to grind for materials to level up their cards. It’s annoying. Not a fan!

beautiful and surprisingly challenging!

at first i didn’t really know what to think about this game. as a fan of the original SIF rhythm game, this felt like a step back when it came to the actual rhythm aspects of the gameplay. but as i played more and more, i realized the staggering amount of depth that comes with teambuilding, especially as you reach higher difficulty songs. i could see this being really hard for new players to get into, but the beautiful art, amazing music with 3D MV’s, and the lack of hand holding make SIFAS worth sticking with, playing daily and learning

Great!

I love this game, I only wish it didn't take up so much space on my phone. It's beautifully made and I enjoy every (new) character added to it for the series. I can't say I've run into any issues and when there are any, you are usually compensated with stars or other items by staff. It's fairly easy to get a nice team and once you figure out the mechanics of songs it's really fun!

The only downside is again, it will take a lot of space on your phone. It won't be just the 3 GB as shown, it will increase as you get updates and more cards and etc. Mine went up to 6 GB and I am not super far into the game.

The game is so good!

I love how there’s stats, Strategy’s, Team buildings and many more that you have to do in this game. The outfits are so cute so are the characters! The game is also pretty generous even though the Gacha system can be a little unfair but that is what makes a Gacha game a bit fun. Most people say that’s a bit difficult but honestly it’s pretty easy to get the hang of it. Especially when your reading the All Stars Tips sure there’s a lot to take note of but if your still struggling I’d suggest to just watch a video.

It's pretty fun, but I highly recommend playing the other LL game instead.

The game isn't bad or anything, a little hard to understand and the tutorial doesn't really help, but it's playable. I just honestly think School Idol Festival is the better choice if you're considering playing a Love Live game. Much more interactive in my opinion, and while it's still not easy to understand for beginners, the gameplay's a bit more streamlined. Not a fan of the whole stamina mechanic and how you're practically locked out from harder difficulties for having a poor team either. The hard difficulty isn't even hard....

Excellent game

Love Live! All stars was my introduction to this franchise. I love the stories in game, I also like the gameplay of this game. A lot of the mechanics feel closer to a rpg than your typical idol rhythm game. I sometimes take long breaks from the game, but I always find myself coming back more so than any other mobile game. The game is also extremely fair to F2P players because you can earn a lot of free currency. I can’t say I have any complaints everything is so well done.

Great job developers, I am so glad you guys took the risk for a global idol game. I hope you keep up the great work and I’m crossing my fingers for another future spin off that is an idol raising simulator like idolm@ster shiny colors.

So cute and fun! But-

I love this game so much. It’s cute, simple, and all around just a good time. I played the other live live games along with the ultaprince and bang one. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a good Rhythm game. However, for a future game, it would be so cool to see our character become one of the idols rather then just helping out. We could make a custom character and she/he could form an idol team in their own school. They could sing other idols songs rather than their own too if that was a ever an issue. Just an idea tho. Still really love this game and hope to see more fun and exiting things from the Creators!

It’s a good game but I feel like somethings missing

I love this game so much but I kind of feel like it’s missing something like I adore this game with all my heart I think that will make it more fun if you actually add a create a character sign for your self and become a school idol with the team as well I know this might be a very hard idea but I think you should add an character oc creator in the game so we can also in and perform with characters in the game

Better than SIF!

I was a long time player of the older game, School Idol Festival, and I really enjoy this one more! You don't need duplicates to idolize cards, and the game is generous with the early goal rewards! One issue I have is the swiping notes tend to lag a little, and sometimes it gets to the point where I have to restart my app. As well as, its much harder to keep a combo in this game. "Critical" scoring on notes sometimes deletes combos, when other times it doesn't, but if you're not trying to perfect combo songs it's alright.

A Breath of Fresh Air from Rhythm Games

While the gameplay is rhythm based, it is far from that. You can build teams of school ideas that compliment each other or have 1 hyper carry for a song. You can make different team compositions (all out healer, skill activation base, sp gain, full out offense, e.t.c), there are different attributes and types that defy’s the card, accessories to help boost card’s stats, and 3 strategies to divide the team of 9 (in probably missing something). This game doesn’t need you to be the best rhythm gamer in the world. In fact it has an auto play option. It’s more team building based, which is very cool in my opinion. The exact opposite of Love Live School Idol Festival (although that has some team building implemented into it). A thing that I ask more from the game is the fact there should be harder note patterns and more star gem awards...

Love the style but...

The models and outfits are a for real 10/10. I watch replays of the songs and videos just to see their dresses twirl about. They are all so beautiful even the SRs have some amazing outfits. The gameplay is a bit complicated though... I don’t mind the difficulty of my health dropping but the switch the method thing and the accessories and such adds to so many factors of gameplay NOT being a rhythm game which kind of bums me out. I’m really good at rythm games and this doesn’t feel like one. There’s a lot to consider even to the point where there’s no reason to use SRs when URs are so vastly different. Kind of sad but I mean it is what it is. The game is pretty, the gameplay is not lol

beautiful graphics and fun gameplay

love this game so much! i downloaded this back in march 2020, after quitting SIF after many years of devoted gameplay. SIFAS’s learning curve is steep but if you stick around, work at it, and get involved in the online community, you’ll be able to get the hang of it pretty soon. of course the graphics are stunning and over time i’ve learned to enjoy the game’s emphasis on teambuilding as opposed to just the rhythm aspect. the music videos are gorgeous and the RPG aspect is pretty fun. improvements i’d like to see are more collaborative events.

Nice game

I had the game since launch and because of that I have a big advantage over new players because I have played every event and got the non gacha cards for free allowing me to get some nice cards and a big collection. I wish this game had a way of giving new players some more stuff and also I miss the old weekly challenges where you had to perform stamina skills or voltage skills. I still have my weekly challenges formations sitting on standby if they ever change it back because getting star gems back then was easier, now it seems like you HAVE to spend training tickets in order to get to the required amount needed to finish the weekly challenge and sure I may not use them, but I don’t want to use more than 9 tickets in a day for an extra 50 star gems. Yes it feels pay to win when the SBL event (i think) goes on because the challenges in that are impossible for me to get and i’ve been free to play since launch so I always miss out on the star gem rewards for all the SBL events. Rate Ups seem fake sometimes but other times are real, roll at your own risk. Overall great game, but something seems impossible to newcomers because they get some star gems from the training and stuff but not nearly enough to finish Story 1 and Intermission because the luck on this compared to Japan is a huge difference.

Love Live! Honest Review( as a beginner)

Many of these reviews mention that the game is hard, but it’s really not. Now, I have only played the beginner mode out of normal and intermediate. The hardest thing so far is figuring out all of the features in-game, It was somewhat frustrating trying to figure out how to level up characters and train them but it doesn’t take too long. The main screen is somewhat overwhelming because there’s a lot of stuff and buttons.
That aside, gameplay is really fun!! there are different notes you have to tap(general rhythm game stuff) but one that stands out are the flicks. Even in the easy mode there are flicks that you have to well... flick. They can come in all directions, up, down, left and right. In other games flicks are usually featured in hard modes only which is the only rather difficult part of the game. It’s NOT too hard to get used to them, though.
Another thing i want to mention is stamina. you HAVE to upgrade your characters so that they can have more stamina or else you will have a harder time in completing the levels, and this goes even for the easy ones.
That said, please install it if you like games that will be there in the long therm. I really enjoy it and maybe you might too!!

I love Love Live!

I have been a huge fan of the Love Live franchise for about 6 years now, and after a year of playing this game, I am finally writing a review. This game is very fun and over the past year it has had consistent updates that make the game even more enjoyable. There’s always something to look forward to and lots of songs that can be added and lots of things to do such as get outfits and participate in events. I really like the 3D graphics, which are stunning and still amaze me after a year of playing and how we can mix up the characters with different outfits for every live show (except the 2D ones, obviously) I hope this version of the game catches up with the Japanese version so we can have the same updates at the same time and so that I can delete the Japanese one, because it’s taking up space and i mainly play on this version. Overall, if you like Love Live, you’re going to like this game. Can’t wait for more updates and play more of my favorite songs in 3D! The only problem I have is that the game is super easy, well in terms of the rhythm and beat maps, it’s nothing like SIF, but the game can be challenging if you do not have a good enough team (or show formation) to beat a live show.

Made love live even more addicting

I’ve been playing the original love live rhythm game since 2015 and I really enjoyed it but this game is SO much better. The visuals are so beautiful and collecting different cards PLUS the costumes of all the girls feels much more rewarding then just the cards in regular sif. The events also feel much more rewarding as you get 2 SRs and a UR. I will admit this game was a bit harder to jump into since I didn’t understand the mechanics at first but once you put some time into learning them it’s extremely addicting and I find myself playing it every day. If you are looking for a traditional rhythm game like the original sif you might not enjoy this one as much but the gameplay is much more complex and interesting in my opinion. Building your team and strategizing to clear a hard live is more fun and takes more effort and thought then a rhythm game. I also love that we still get new stories and content with Muse and Aqours in addition to the Niji girls who are pretty much exclusive to this game. Overall it’s one of my favorite games and if you didn’t enjoy it at first I would look into learning more about tram building and strategies and give it another try!
