Will try to not pay

They exist to serve property owners. There are good, reasonable ways to do this. But the main way they choose is to make it a constant pain for service providers. Unrealistic NTEs. Poorly described jobs. Payment decreases for any excuse they can make stick. Payment delays with no reason at all.

Not worth the squeeze

I have been with them off and on for a couple of years. I have tried to give them chance after chance after being shadow banned for my pricing. Even when I do take jobs and knock them out, they don’t pay on time. It takes over two weeks to receive payment for some jobs. Low pay, expect you to travel two hours away for peanuts, then when you give quote they don’t approve if it’s above what they think it should be. If you like running around for peanuts, this is for you.šŸ‘Ž

Terrible

Such an unnecessary pain

Horrible Service

Would never work with these people again. Couldn’t trust them and their priorities are off base. Very disappointing.

Unreliable and unprofessional company

I registered with Lula Pros to join their provider network, but they never confirmed my application. I even called them several times, and every time they kept telling me ā€œwe’ll get back to you tomorrow.ā€ Weeks passed, and nothing happened.
This company seems very disorganized and unprofessional. They promise opportunities, but in reality, they don’t follow through or communicate properly. I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time with Lula Pros.

You’ll lose money working for them

They will pay you crumbs but expect top tier service. Most of their homes under management are slumlord homes that have been neglected. They will lowball you at every chance, I literally was told by a rep that Lula only pays $75 to replace a toilet and that was normal. This platform is for people who still live with their parents or roommates, not for serious professionals with families and real overhead looking to make a profit.

Dishonest company

Would recommend staying away. They are very closed off about pricing. They will send you out to do a job with an NTE. Even when I was under the NTE, I had to threaten a lien to get paid. When I questioned it, they dropped us. They are scamming property management to get more money. I would suggest calling a local licensed company to get a fair and honest price.

Great app for Pros

I think the app is very well done and a great way for contractors to fill gaps in a schedule

Awesome!

I love being apart of the Lula team, great place to work!

You can’t make money working for them

You can get a pre-authorization for a job. After the job is completed they will walk back the authorization and not pay you what the pre authorization amount was. They are looking for people who don’t know how to do jobs. not professionals. They pay that way as well.

Horrible company

Let’s start with when they hire you. They will lie. I mean bold face lie. When they say they have hundreds of calls a week that is bold
Face lie. I was a pro for 8 months and ran about a dozen calls during that time period. And almost every single call someone from Lula would call and tell me my prices were higher than their ā€œaverage pricesā€. Note to all pros, their ā€œaverage pricesā€ come from pros that will probably be out of business or not working with Lula because they will eventually figure out that driving 45+ minutes to these Lula calls (and not getting paid anything for the drive time or going to get parts, which likely won’t be approved anyway) and only making your hourly with a bogus mark up on parts is not enough to run a profitable business. So Lula boasts hourly pay that the pro must to pay gas, van insurance, general liability insurance, workers comp insurance, taxes, still pay the hourly rate for the person on the job and have a profit at the end of the day or extra money to service your van? It’s not there! Lula only cares about their property owners, NOT THE PROS! I had them pull me off a job because they didn’t want to approve. 45/5 capscitor that would’ve gotten their tenant back up and running. A truck stock part that I had ready to repair. And since they declined the repair, they used a slimy rule they have that if you only diagnose then they only pay $75 for a diagnostic rather than the hourly rate they claim to pay when you accept the job. And as a pro you have no say in this decision. So you still drive however far the distance was (for me this particular job was 40 minutes away) and they pay you far less than you expect. Lula is a scam company for pros. Don’t get sucked in. They pay what they want and are cheap as can be. I’ve even had jobs magically disappear from my completed jobs list and not get paid for them after spending two hours on site and another two hours round trip driving back and forth (which again, they don’t pay you for that time!) I sent over a dozen emails trying to find out where the job went and finally had to tell them I was taking a lien on the property to even attempt to get a response to get paid. I’ve had work that I’ve completed and then been told by Lula that they are not paying me for the work because ā€œthey couldn’t bill a customer for removal of 30 gallons of water from an attic drain pan during a 100+ degree day to get their tenants ac back running again.ā€ When in fact I’ve not only billed for this before but been paid for it on several occasions prior! The customer service at this company is absolute garbage when a pro has a problem. They will never take your side. As a pro, do yourself a favor and keep looking! There are so many better companies out there that will not lie to you and will pay fairly. Lula is the worst!

Pay and communication is fair, not many jobs however

I’ve been a provider for a few months now and I’ve only had three jobs in the RDU area (NC). I am licensed so it’s not a matter of myself not qualifying, it’s just not a very popular platform. They do work with you when it’s a far distance, and they’ve paid my labor costs in full with no fuss. I like the idea of the service it’s just not much volume as of right now.

No waste your time

Horrible Company unprofessional, poor communication and payment very bad . Never join in these company is very unprofessional.

Misleading - no work orders

I originally contacted McKenna W. in October 2022 about becoming a provider for their network with her looking at all these work orders in the area. I only received 4-5 work orders all hours away after being told my service area in New Hampshire had lots of work. I was told if I have competitive rates I’d get more jobs upfront, but they also have a rating system for contractors. They had no work or out of the area work paying very low and most required licensed trades. I have all the back and forth emails with them telling me why it could be happening and don’t worry they have more down the pipeline. I just deleted the app after reaching out to support one final time asking what is going on. They saw my portfolio of work as a maintenance technician for multi families since 2012 and promised me all sorts of work with nothing that came from it. The first time around McKenna loved my photos said to submit everything else and then my application was denied, after weeks of not being able to get ahold of her they had a conference/summit and apologized, telling me it should’ve passed and to attempt it again. It did pass finally and they said there was an error on their end, but after that like stated before there was very little work and all out of my area of operation which was clearly checked off.

This company wasted my time, and should not be used in Massachusetts or New Hampshire areas.

You get what you pay for

I believe Lula wants professional services without the professional pay.

It’s a start up very slow

They bugged me to register an account with them but after that 3 months Not even 1 job listed!

VERY SLOW APP NEVER EVER HAS A JOB

Lula is awesome

I have been using this app for a few years now. I have zero complaints. They always reach out to see if I want more work. They are easy to communicate with. As a provider on the app I have been extremely happy with it all. Payouts quick. Jobs are great. Any out of pocket expenses for a job. They reimburse.
Two thumbs up

Owner/contractor

Overall I like the business model, very straightforward no gimmicks.
I would definitely recommend this to any contractor or property management company.

You can’t make money working for them

They don’t compensate half the time the pros invest on jobs. They won’t compensate for fuel ā€œ the job doesn’t get done unless the pro invests his money in gas to get thereā€ that’s why time should be added to the ticket for travel. The company tries to use the guise they offset this by letting you pick the jobs and locations you want to work but still time is money and they take a administrative fee off every job so if your hourly rate is 70 you should assume it’s 30. They way they operate is tis for tat and splitting hairs. You can’t actually make any money working for Lula. Long term this company won’t be around because real pros won’t work for free
