App is broken

Ever since the iOS update to 18.3.2, It displays a message “You cannot scan with Lumify while device is charging. Disconnect the device from the charger to continue”.
But after disconnecting from the charger, the app stops working as soon as it drops below 100% battery, which doesn’t allow for much run time.

This needs to be fixed, pronto. The only iPads it will work on now are ones that have automatic updates turned off and have not yet hit 18. Once an iPad updates, there’s no way to roll it back.

Doesn’t work with iPad Pro with usbC

I was told by a sales person at Phillips this update will allow lumify probes to work on the new iPad with usbC and not need the power module. The new app still doesn’t work and the resolution still appears bulky, like it was formatted for an iPhone and not the iPad. Looks like I need to buy another android tablet. And customer service is painful, requested me to setup a corporate account including banking information before they would connect me to actual support staff 🙄

Response from developer

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and we appreciate your feedback. We understand that the compatibility of Lumify probes with USB C devices is a significant concern for you. Currently, Lumify probes do require the Lumify Power Module (LPM) for operation, but we do offer an accessory to attain USB C compatibility. You can find a list of compatible USB C devices in the Product Information section of our Lumify page. We want to assure you that we are actively working on a solution to connect Lumify probes to USB C devices without the need for an LPM. Regarding your customer service experience, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused. We would like to rectify this situation by connecting you directly with one of our account managers and application specialists. They are part of our dedicated direct and remote team who are committed to providing you with the best possible solution for your situation.
