App is useless
Mentioned by another reviewer…app freezes on the T&Cs page and nothing else happens. Obviously haven’t fixed the issue since then, as it’s still happening. Not bothering anymore.

It’s a mobile data app nothing more nothing less has some useful features good data plans and costs. But yeah does what it needs to do.
Shocking customer service
I recently changed my plan from Telstra to LYCA because they had such a great deal I have had no phone for 24 hours and every time I call them the customer service is so bad they keep telling me the same and phone still not working I’m now going back to Telstra

I keep getting text messages to download the app and when I try it gets stuck in the terms and conditions page.. freezes at that page and nothing happens after.. i have tried reinstallinv the app several times and its just not working.. customer service is poor so I guess you get what you pay for! back to onepass when my current plan expires

Lyca actually works and is great
Honestly with all the negative reviews I was a little unsure after signing up. But I'm surprised to say that everything has been seamless, I just followed the instructions in their email after signing up. I was with Vodafone before and now I'm saving considerable money with no noticeable carrier quality change (it's still Vodafone). I grabbed a long term plan. Helpful staff have responded to my email and to my phone call about international roaming (apparently your data allowance works overseas). The App is also completely adequate. I highly recommend Lyca.

Don’t use Lyca mobile they steal your money
Paid for 12 months and they discontinued my service after 2 months and went for direct debit for every month. I requested refund and the customer service was play word games with me. No matter how many times I call or email, they don’t refund or solve the issue. I have reported to ombudsman.
Delayed services
Sent multiple requests for number to be transferred to new lyca plan and out of the many times none has succeeded. Called the customer services and was promised a solution a few hours on that day, still the same. No fixes has been made for over a month now and I’ve sent yet another request via the app.

Terrible ESIM option. Didn’t even work and then got charged a month later for a subscription fee I didn’t even sign up too. Do not bother with these clowns.

THIS IS GENUINELY THE WORST THING EVER MADE. The app is so hard to navigate, nothing ever works and it’s so over complicated. I can’t get my old number back because you guys have replaced it already.
Doesn’t work
As soon as the page ‘you get started” appears and I accept the Terms and Conditions, but stays in this situation and the page is too big that doesn’t allow me to see the bottom of the page if there is a next button or other buttons to start the App.

Absolutely nightmare if you want to contact customer care it make take 70 minutes. Don’t stuck with lyca

LykaAU is a scam. I tried to cancel my payments using this app and Lyka then charged me $30??? without my consent? Wow
Doesn't work
Bought the sim card pack from convenience store, and the qr code doesn't lead you to the correct place to set up your sim. The website is of no use and this app provides no support or help. Also there is no customer support you can reach out to. The login details don't work in the app. In trying to set up the sim it lead me top up, i added $10 to top the balance which looked like i progressed further by providing me a mobile number, however the format is wrong and not enough numbers.
