Inaccurate
The gps takes time to pick up after getting a ride , not accurate for both rider n driver.sometimes the miles are way too much more than the earnings,it’s not adding up at all given the gas prices.Especially on weekends it’s like 45cents per mile,whereas normally it’s like 85 to 90 cents per mile . It’s disheartening.

This is meant for side cash, maybe to cover a bill, grab food, or put into your savings. Overall, it’s a good gig app.
Better pay
Insurance , car repair, gas . Everything seems to be super high but Lyft pay remains low . Absolutely frustrating .

So I’ve been having some glitches I guess you could say with the app lagging even though I have full cellular bars and 5G, LTE UW showing up on the top of my phone and it’s still lagging also it’s still trying to decide if it’s night or day I think and the buildings and everything like flash but other than that it’s a great app

“Élite” driver ?
I'm an Elite driver, although that doesn't mean anything to the platform; the treatment is the same. I've been driving for Lyft for six years, and let me tell you, the app has many useless features that don't work properly. I've reported location issues, incorrect information, and passengers with bad behavior or aggression many times, and they just end up as reports. There's no follow-up. I constantly have problems with payments, and they even withhold earnings for up to a week, and nobody explains anything. Now, Lyft support only responds with AI commands; they don't resolve anything. It's just frustrating. I'm only saying this so you don't expect anything special; sometimes it will be a nightmare.

Company is definitely run by algorithms and not people
This app does a lot of dumb stuff requiring drivers to constantly take their eyes off the road which is just weird to me,from a safety standpoint this makes no sense and none of it is important and needs to be dealt or even show up on the screen at all. The app will send you to the Amtrak station - using only an address- where you have load and then unload luggage at a customers house and then it will complain you are taking too long?? The company doesn't realize they sent you to Amtrak? I also work in an American college town late at night which means I routinely pick up drunk people, obviously this does not always go according to plan, they put in the wrong addresses etc and you have to adjust but the algorithm cannot do that, it just thinks you are taking too long . This kind of foolish stuff makes me lose respect for this company, they need to remember we are picking up humans - not robots.
