Doesn’t work with mp3 or aif on iOS 12
Like other reviewer’s, I have the original version and it worked fine. I put an MP3 and and AIF file on my iPhone and this new version just gives me a message “lyrics tag for this song is empty“. Both files have custom lyrics that show up fine on my iMac. I contacted the author and the only advice was to reload the files onto my phone, which I did, and they still didn’t work. So if you purchase this app beware that it may not work for you. Also as noted in the product description, you need to play the song from this app (not from iTunes) to have the lyrics screen show up. As a plus, the author was prompt to respond when I inquired via his website.

es wird ohne Texte geliefert ???????? nur wenn itunes die texte zur verfügung stellt funktioniert es!? ja wofür brauch ich dann noch das tool? sch.....5,50Euro aus dem Fenster geworfen. aber hätte ja auch mal vorher lesen können.

I have tried everything to get this app to work, but it will never show the lyrics for any song I select from my iPhone 7. Strong do not buy!

I just purchased this app this week. It’s been very beneficial, especially since iTunes made the brilliant decision to block all song lyrics from the lyrics page that were transferred to my music app on my IOS devices. I have well over 500 karaoke songs in my stash but have been unable to have the lyrics available unless I decide to open the iTunes app on my laptop. Not gonna happen. This is the perfect solution. It works flawlessly (so far) but I have one very important suggestion...
Add an alphabetical song list as a drop down. That way I could choose a specific song to cue up, and not have to hit the arrows to go song-by-song to choose what I want to play. (And chance having the songs that I’m skipping by to automatically start playing. This would be very beneficial to those want a particular song to play.

Does not work! Cannot read lyrics for most of my tags!
I’m very disappointed by this app, although I had been happy with the previous versions!
Not only I had to pay 5.49 € for this iOS 11 version (although I had already bought the iOS 10 version, of which I was satisfied but which is not compatible with iOS 11), but this iOS 11 app is useless: it does not read most of my mp3 lyrics which were previously read by the previous version!!
For almost all songs it says instead:
"Lyrics tag for this song is empty”
But the tag is not empty:
- I had added all lyrics myself with “Jaikoz Audio tagger” in the mp3 files on my PC before loading them in iTunes and my phone,
- they could be read by the previous version (“lyrics viewer 2”),
- iTunes can still read them perfectly,
- and another iPhone app, “Cesium music player” app, can read them perfectly too.
FYI I have an iPhone 6 and the latest iOS version, 11.2.5, and same problem either when I had 11.2.2.
Only for a few songs the tag can be read by “Lyrics viewer 3” (those for which the Apple Music app can read it too, when doing force touch on the song title).
Please solve this bug because for now this app is worthless despite the price paid.

Not useful
I had their original version which unfortunately is no longer supported by latest version of IOS-and it worked great Id lyric tags on MP3. This “ new version” is worthless in my opinion- waste of money.

Problems with this version
This version is not picking up lyrics (says "lyrics tab is empty") for songs which the previous version did. Only picking up lyrics for songs added to iTunes after the version was installed. What's going wrong - all the songs I am trying to play do have lyrics in the appropriate tab!
Same problem as Apple Music
It does not show all the lyrics (sometimes fails) although they are entered in iTunes.

Sorry to hear you have some issues. This might be a sync-ing issue in iOS 11. A few users have reported similar issue and they have solved it by editing the lyrics of the songs in iTunes on their desktop computer. And that forced re-sync. Also, it might be useful to know that if the iOS Music app can't display lyrics it usually means the meta data hasn’t been sync-ed to your device. And hence Lyrics View won’t be able to display the lyrics either. I’m not sure if you have seen this page already, but you might find it useful: https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT204459
