Probably the worst app I have used ever
The UI is so cluttered. OTP on every step even if you go back. While updates address the hindi auto translation is pathetic and we don’t even have a choice to edit it like in browser. Either you give an edit option in hindi too or just don’t translate, let the user fill it in hindi. how these apps are even live is a big conversation with such bugs. don’t you have a testing team? this is pretty bad experience. on browser, i am unable to upload govt provided original downloaded id and on app i am unable to edit the hindi address which is translating wrong from english. pls check and fix this asap.
edit : now i am even unable to activate my Aadhaar. when i give the otp, it says we are facing technical difficulty. this is happening since last 3 days. shameful application.

Worst interface and a lot of bugs
The UI needs major changes given that it’s a government managed service, many options don’t work, the option to book an appointment for nearest location doesn’t work, the feature is listed but it doesn’t work nor does it auto detect current location, it just simply says error occurred try again. There’s no option to attach images otherwise I would have pointed to the exact button with underlying issue. Pls fix is asap!!!

Frustrating and unreliable
This app is incredibly frustrating to use. It crashes frequently, and even when it works, the interface is slow and outdated. Trying to update Aadhaar details is a nightmare — the verification steps often fail, and the app doesn’t provide clear error messages or solutions. Biometric authentication rarely works properly, and OTPs sometimes take forever to arrive, if at all.
For such an important national ID system, this app feels very poorly maintained. It’s disappointing to see such low-quality digital infrastructure for something as crucial as Aadhaar. Needs major improvements!

Facing Everytime Technical Issue and worst app
Seems This is the official app of Aadhar but in my opinion this is the worst app I’ve ever seen.. whenever i want to try download the Aadhar it shows technical issue or invalid ERN number or Aadhar number and the customer care service is also very disappointing they are only raising request and closed them by telling everything is fine now but nothing fine.. at least improve the English of your backend team coz they msging by Naming Adhaar and As Per system the original Spelling is “Aadhar” so I request to the technical team of this app that please look at this app and stop the fooling the public who want the service on time.

Useless App
I locked my Aadhaar & Biometrics too. Now even the process of SMS system or Online system or even this App is unable to unlock the same. I tried to get OTP to unlock, each time the Aadhaar system informs for “Technical Exception”. Helpline personnel’s are confused as to use the last 4 digit or last 6 digits further also not aware either of Aaadhaar No. or the Virtual ID. Every thing is now hanged up. I am facing issues since last one week continuously. No one in Aadhaar Organization is “clear” as to how to get my Aadhaar unlocked. All repeat the same things on helpline no.: your name, state, SMS to 1947((RVID xxxx, GETOTP xxxx, UNLOCKUID xxxx XXXX), but all results in vain. Shameful for such a big organisation.

Useless app
Every step needs an OTP and then after 2-3 steps it will say “technical error” won’t let you move forward with anything. Totally useless. Who is making this app? And how is it functioning. Just collecting users data and invading our privacy. Doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do and such a waste of my time. I have never given a single review in my life, you can imagine how frustrated I am that I had to come all the here to stop my fellow people from making the mistake of downloading this app and wasting their time!!

Can’t unlock biometrics now
I unfortunately downloaded this app and locked my biometrics. Seemed fine for a few weeks till it locked me out. Since we have an Aadhaar based attendance system at work now it has become impossible to punch in. The app shows errors like “this Aadhaar number is registered to another mobile device” when this is the only device I’ve authenticated. It just locks me out of my profile and every time I try to log in or get an OTP it displays “technical error” and hangs. For those looking to lock their biometrics with this app, just don’t do it!

App has too many bugs and probably corrupted interface.
At one time I had registered with my registered mobile number on this app. However, while trying to lock profile, the app rejected the mobile number and asked to re-register on the app. But haven’t been able to re register. Sometimes the OTP is not sent. Sometimes the OTP is not verified, if both works, then after putting in Aadhar number captcha and new OTP, it says ‘something went wrong’! Happened again and again. Even after deleting and reinstalling the App!

Misleading declaration regarding data collection
On the App Store listing page, it’s mentioned that the developer does not collect any data. However, once you download the app, you are presented with a screen to give your consent to let the developer collect unexplained type of data related to device also. I can understand that the app needs Aadhar number to provide the intended services but what that consent screen says is that this is a “Test Program” and the tech teams will also collect additional data of device and other parameters. If this is a test program or beta app then this fact should have been mentioned on listing page itself. Why mislead people? Don’t know if Apple has also been misled to allow this app in the App Store by giving false declaration.

Unable to use, cause when you open the app it keeps loading
Once you open my aadhar app, the home screen keeps loading. If you uninstall, then re-install, and then when you login in, all data will be erased and you have to enter all details again, so the whatever aadhar details or even if you add many aadhar number, they all goes away when u reinstall. Initially for 3 months it was working good. Now it is of no use. If the developers are seeing this review, try to resolve or this app is of no use. Thankyou for your service till now.

Useless App
This appnis absolutely useless. OTP is required for every action. You cant even show this to government authorities to prove your identity as they dont accept this app. I tried using it in passport seva kendra when they asked me to prove adhaar validity. I opened the app and they rejected saying a printout is required🤣🤣🤣🤣. What is the use of government investment in such apps then ? Then i downloaded the adhaar from same app and went to them again. They again rejected saying there is no digitat signature, though it has a valud VID ✍️ 😅😅😅😅. Finally i had to GO download Eaadhaar and get the validation done to take to PSK. No use of digital innovation at all. Digital india kee jay.

Useless App
This is the most useless app i have experienced. It’s only good to download your aadhaar card. Nothing else. Firstly the tech issues, it it goes through that and you’re able to apply for address update or something else by paying the relevant fees, it never updates. I made a request in mid November 22 and still on 14 Feb 23 it’s still in progress. That too when the time limit for that was 30 days. Nothing other that downloading your aadhaar card is done on this app. That’s y 1 star. Rest all is not working. At least for me.

Not available outside India and many issues, especially with captcha
Aadhar, Pan etc, are all services open/available to NRIs, however the apps can’t be downloaded unless your Apple ID is set to India.
Other issues in the app are also that the error messages are not clear, it only says something went wrong, (without telling us what) only working if you do things in exactly the right way by guessing what that is. Why not show the requirements for the fields?

Good Application by UIDAI
Download app, provide mobile number to get OTP & enter it to register number. Provide Aadhar number, enter OTP once received on registered number, all set to go for paperless ID proof. Now my Aadhar card details are available on my mobile as well and very easily accessible with added security features. Thanks to UIDAI for all the efforts to go digital.

Everytime server issues
I have been using this app from about couple of months and everytime I wanted to make any changes or download Aadhar, it simply shows an error message as, “We are sorry, server can’t be reached at this time please try after sometime”. I would like to question the developers here, when will that sometime comes? I have waiting for a while day to download but every 30mins the same error message was popping up, hence came to a conclusion that developers didn’t bother to rectify the error and causing inconvenience to its users. The 1 start for this app is also for the interface rather than performance, if I could have give minus stars then this app will get -10 for performance.

Horrible user experience
I wish I could give this app negative stars but that option doesn't exist. The amount of issues with this app make me wonder why it has been created in the first place.
It also makes me sad that it hasn't been made taking into consideration people who are not at all tech savvy. I'm trying to get an appointment for our house maid who is yet to get her Aadhar number. My experience is mentioned below.
1. Upon logging in itself it says there's an error right at the landing page without having clicked on any options. Major red flag.
2. After that my entire data entered isn't saved at intervals thereby making the procedure extremely cumbersome as the data required to generate an appointment is quite extensive warranting re-entry after every app failure.
3. After entering the data, the appointment ID is created however there's no provision to further act on it as the app freezes intermittently.
4. Now if you're lucky enough to get to the appointment booking stage, it will show you unnecessary options and when you select the one you are familiar with it will say it doesn't exist. A simple solution: just show the centres who are facilitating this work instead of showing every single post office in the centre menu.
To whoever who has developed this app. Please redesign this app. It shouldn't be so difficult & frustrating to get an appointment. You'll just miss the objective of getting more people into the Aadhar database which was the mission objective from the very beginning.
The length of my review is a testament to how frustrated one may become to use that app. I wrote this review after my 6th unsuccessful attempt to get a single appointment.

App with Good features but doesn’t work reliably
This app is with good features but they don’t work reliably. One of the family member will be replaced by other person. One point of time, all members will be replaced by a single person with out any reason by itself when we select each person. Needs lot of improvement. These days UIDAI apps and websites do not work as expected. Something wrong. No OTP comes, server error, technical error, this service not available at this time etc are very common error messages with UIDAI.

Will rate again after my issue is fixed
After going through the reviews of the government Aadhar updating centre’s decided not to visit the centre as considered it would be a waste of time & energy to just update my mobile number & email address. After doing a lot of research I was baffled to find out that at this age of advanced technology we still have to visit the updating centre to make a simple change like mobile number & email address. However, I came across this app hoping that I will at least be able to book an appointment to visit the updating centre on the specified date & time and the updating centre close to my location was HDFC Bank and I am sure they will definitely get this done without any hassles, but the issue here is that I cannot select the appointment date on the calendar as the indicator shows that the dates marked in red is “Slots Not Available” and the dates marked in green is “Slots Available” however on the calendar I can see dates marked in red till 19 May 2021..but cannot find dates marked in green even after looking for future dates like as far as in the year 2022..all the dates are greyed out and cannot be selected..does this mean that I cannot have an appointment even till next year..does this mean that the government employees working under Aadhaar department is busy for such a long time..if so then this is ridiculous..no point in creating an app where we cannot book even a single appointment..forget about updating basic details like mobile number & email address remotely..I will give a five star rating if I’m able to book at least an appointment..#JaiHind

Intermittent performance issues
The interface is good and it’s very user friendly however most of the features don’t work smoothly. I had to try multiple times in order to link my and my family aadhaar cards in this app.
Another feedback is regarding status check of requests. For example, I submitted a reprint request for my aadhaar but now when I want to check the status, it asks me to enter the aadhaar and SIN number and other details again which I had already submitted while raising the request. It should be visible in the history without having need to enter all details again. Please consider this in next update.
Giving one star now but will review it periodically and change the rating if there is any change in the performance and features.

I am surprised that some people have rated this app as bad and say that it not functioning properly. They are wrong. I downloaded this today. It works very well.
People should read and learn to use the app.
This app requires you to first register your Aadhar number in the app. Once this is done, all other modules also work properly.
