This is the most beautiful version of masterfader. Its changed my life
Keep in mind ive been in pro audio 30+ years as of 2024.
In that time this has been the single biggest game changer technology.
Hot hips:
Stick with MF4 ios only (MF5 was a cross platform rewrite and never fully polished)
Mackie have made an app that is head and shoulders above ALL the competitors, at all price points. Im talking digico, yamaha, alken and heath, midas (well behringer now).
This app smokes them all such that im happy mixing 32 inputs and 14 monitor mix outputs from an ipad. In fact its become my preferred 'console' period.

App will not work with ios16.1.2
Haven’t had any issues using this app for years till I updated my iPhone to IOS 16.1.2, would not load at all keeps crashing 😞 please update the app to work with the new IOS
Not loading since last iPhone update.
This app worked beautifully until Apple distributed its most recent update (16.1).
At this point when you choose the devise it closes the program, making it useless. It would really help if the app would update to accommodate the Apple update.

EQ
Anyone know how to get to the ep view from the iPhone?
Update
When are you going to update this app? Have you been sleeping or being lazy???
Delay not working.
I’m thinking it’s something simple but for the life of me, I can’t get the delay to work on any channel. Even using pre-sets.
Post faders
I wish they update the app so that i can chose individual channels for pre or post fader. For now its only for the whole aux channel
Most underrated mixer in its segment
I run audio all over and on many nice mixers. The DL32r is a runaway success. Show after show, people ask what mixer we are using and are shocked it’s “only a Mackie”. I tell them to listen to their ears and they have to agree it is an amazing mixer.
Flexible routing and applications make it a winner for sure. It’s equally at home in the studio as it is live. I love using both subgroups and DCA’s in live shows. And bands love it when I record multitrack and they have an option to buy their tracks. I even will play some live mixes as post show playback right after the event. The musicians can’t believe they sounded that good.
Get this mixer... best option under $5k, and it costs less than $2k!

Takes a long time to sync.
Every time I close the app on the iPad or press the home button for any reason, I reopen the app it takes a really long time to sync but to the mixer. Is there anything i can do to fix that problem?
Support smaller screen devices
The iPhone screens are now much more useful than they were when this app originally launched. Really hoping the developers can consider adding more or full functionality to iPhones especially plus and max sizes. Current navigation on phone is really cumbersome. Would be great to have quicker access to mute group. Please add record/playback controls and EQ screen even if it’s just parameters and not dragging the graph. Finally if I connect constantly to just one device please automatically connect when it’s found on the network. Save me a frequent step.

Not a house mixer
We use this as a house mixer and we have over 100 bands saved in the Show files. There is no way to organize or sort the files. Files are ordered by the creation date and if you load from a back up they seem to go in a random order. I’d be happy if they auto sorted alphabetically. Any time we have a returning band it is a horrible time hunting for their show file. Sorting is a standard feature with any type of file system and I can’t believe how long this App has been out and has not added a sort feature.

5 stars can’t rate this high enough!
I have been using the Dl32r with this app for a little over a year in a small church. It is absolutely amazing! I don’t have personal experience with other digital mixers, but I have seen some in other churches and watched videos online. The more I see of other digital boards, the more I love this system. On every single channel, you can see exactly what how the eq is set and what the gate and compressor are doing. You don’t have to mess with a small “select” button on the channel only to see one channel’s processing settings at a time in a corner at the opposite end of the board. It is all right there at a glance, for every channel! Every channel also has a very large signal meter that is the full height of the fader. Compare that to the 3-5 small led lights that some digital boards use for a signal meter!
We use two iPads, one for the front of house mix, and one for our online stream. We have two completely separate mixes all from one system, and we could have many more if needed!
Some don’t like the idea of not having physical faders, but in my opinion, not having them is a small price to pay for the ease of use, amazing functionality, and being able to see exactly what each channel is doing at a glance without having to hit a button that only shows you what one channel is doing anyway. Download the app, play with it a bit, watch online videos on it, and you may get hooked.
I have watched videos on Allen and Heath’s QU series, and Yamaha’s TF series. I briefly looked at a Behringer X32. I also have more than a dozen digital mixer apps on my iPad to try out in demo mode. I don’t have as much experience with them, but from what I have seen, none of them make near as much sense as this app right here. If you need to see more channels at a time, you can add another iPad. If you have to have physical faders, you can add Mackie’s DC16 to the system.
This may not be the right solution for everyone. There may be some special functions or features that would require a different mixer, but this mixer is amazing! Thank you Mackie! 5 stars just doesn’t seem like a high enough rating for something so well done.

Lenta
Aplicación lenta, muy demorada en hacer los cambios de ecualizador y cambios de nivel
Fantastic.
I love this whole setup! Wireless mixing from anywhere in the venue is great for a small band. It's easy to use, as basic or complicated as you want to make it. Great fx processing, live recording, quality mic pre's and great hardware. My only complaint is that the wifi router should be built in!
Great and powerful
Fantastic for 1608. Goodbye analogue ( ok I keep 1 in the car just in case). Brilliant set up . Use for 2 bands and no probs so far. Would love multi track rec feature and perhaps more on board effects - chorus and another reverb in next update. This would make it all you'd ever need but can't take a star away.

User friendly
I love this set up My dads been in a band as long as I can remember n I’ve always help them wit setting up n stuff n I’ve recently began sound after apprenticing under the old sound guy n he recently lost the position n I took over but for a new sound guy this system is really user friendly n I’m learning very quickly once u figure out how to navigate threw the system, which isn’t hard at all, u can figure everything else out wit ease. Especially if ur someone who has been doin sound for awhile it will all look familiar n after learning navigation to know where all ur options r u should know exactly how to use the program I’m still learning the program jus cuz I’m still learning sound but like I said anyone who’s been doing sound will have no problem at all wit this program n will find that it will make life easier

Love it but limited
I love this! Multi show multi venue ! All contained in a tiny footprint. One problem, personal monitor mixes. Not everyone uses and iPhone iPad and that slows me down cause now I have to listen to them whine PLEASE do something about this I know it’s business keeping apple exclusive but an app for non apple phone just to run monitor Mix would be nice thanks

It’s a great mixer.
Even if i was unhappy with having to deal with unalphabetized shows (🙄), i wouldn’t threaten to abandon the platform ... because it does an amazing job, and makes my life easier ...
Not bad
Haven't used anything else. It works well
Slower than Master Fader Classic
I love the product (DLR32) but find that Master Fader 4.x responds much slower than MF Classic did with 16 channel mixer.
I know MF4 has more work to do, but if possible, could it be tightened up to provide better response time?
