What's New in Macro Camera Pro

1.7

August 8, 2026

Clear the frame with one tap. A new button in the corner hides the controls, so nothing sits between you and your subject. Tap it again and everything comes back. - Focus stays available. The slider collapses to a thin handle at the edge of the screen — touch it to adjust. - The shutter button and the volume button keep working as usual. - Don't need it? Turn the button off in Settings → Shooting Interface. Suggested in a review, now shipped. Thank you for that one.

I find the app okay, but quite annoying that there doesn't seem to be a way to remove the sliders and menu items from being in front of the subject you are trying to capture. This is especially frustrating with macro photography. Maybe the creator of this app can easily fix this oversight with a button. I tried a number of times to touch the non-tool area of the photo to see if the tools would disappear, and it seemed to happen once, but if you are trying to take a photo of an insect that is moving and it doesn't work, well then, you have missed the photo!

Response from developer

Thanks — this one turned into a feature. Version 1.7 adds a hide button in the corner of the screen. One tap clears the sliders and panels off the frame, another brings them back. Focus stays available as a thin handle at the screen edge, and both the shutter button and the volume button keep working, so a moving insect doesn't cost you the shot. Dmitry
