Magic Money is a scam. You have to add credits to now wristbands, and you don’t get whatever you don’t spend back. It’s ridiculous

My son went with his friends to a local fair, nobody told him he wouldn’t be able to return the card and get money back if there was any left over. Can’t even find either of the 2 fairs in our area. App says card is invalid when we try to scan it!
So now we’re gonna have to take a road trip and hope we can use the 50 bucks he has left on it so these people don’t get it as an unearned tip!!

Broken
Attempted to check the card for the curry county fair, thought I was losing it when it wasn’t listed… until I checked the reviews and seen that many people are having this issue.
Just get the card or wrist band.
This app is not worth your time, and you still have to pay the convenience fee. Boo.
Card wouldn’t scan
Downloaded the app. Tried to connect card to it and didn’t scan . Said it was I valid
Crashes and buggy
Specifying an amount crashes the app. Trying to add a pass to Apple wallet returns an error. Adding more money forces you to spend a package, and you can’t refill at a kiosk presumably because Apple wallet integration is broken.
Steals your money.
The UI is very shady looking + it steals your money. Beware. This is used at events so better to load you’re tickets on-site than use this all. I’ll be doing a chargeback.

I feel like I’m going crazy. Trying to use for rodeo Austin. The website says can use the app. Tried using cards from last year but get invalid barcode.
Says to use the drop down to select rodeo Austin. It’s not listed. There is a rodeo Austin but the app shows it 1600 miles away in nj.
This whole magic money is a joke and I can’t understand why they keep using such a bad platform.

I bought tickets for the fair and I got the app so I could have a my wrist band but when ever I try to scan my barcode of my ticket it doesn’t work and I try to type the barcode number and it doesn’t work either way I don’t like it

Zero customer support, one of the worst UI’s I have seen with almost no functionality, and will just take your money.

You have to create an account to reload a card. You cannot load less than $25. Stupid!

Apple Pay wouldn’t work
Apple Pay wouldn’t work. Did not want to get her a credit card in an app like this, especially with so many reviews about fraud. Need a safe way to reload it without having to stand in twice, once to reload the card and then again to get what you actually want. Guy (that answers phone with “hello” and not a business name) said it varies by event. The event has to allow or sign up for it. Didn’t sound right to me. I think they’re just trying to force me to enter my credit card information, which I will not do. Thank you.

Really crappy app
Caused fraud alerts when trying to reload via credit card and locked my credit card for 24 hours. Terrible user interface and very difficult to find correct location.
Can’t view remaining card balance
Or contact support to find out how much money I have left on my prepaid amusement cards. QR scan codes will not work, they just lead to a dead link. Be careful how much you add to your card when at their carnivals, use up all of your $$$!!!
