Not working properly
Just renewed the subscription but even before that’s it doesn’t work anymore like it did years back. Calls drop or the other caller can’t hear me. It’s extremely frustrating! At this point I regret renewing it because it’s useless.

I have found magicApp to be better than any cell phone service on the planet. It’s totally unbelievably convenient and economical. You can’t go wrong with it!
App Works with Limitations
The MagicJack app works great except for calls from orgs that flag VOIP as bad and never get the call. That’s understandable and maybe nothing can be done about that. It would be nice to be able to block numbers though, which I think could be added to the app.
For texts, the same VOIP problem with some orgs. Also no images and text gets broken up into many different short segments. Maybe because VOIP has severe limitations with the SSMS protocol. And again, no way to block unwanted numbers.

SMS NOT WORKING FOR IPHONE
The SMS feature does not work with iPhone. Have spent time on the phone with support, submitted two tickets with no responses. Glad the calling works, but need the texting feature asap to work.

I can’t even create an account. I type in my first name and it tells me it can’t contain spaces or dashes etc. it doesn’t contain them!! I’ve had similar issues before but not with my name only!

Tech support is complicated
Im not sure if this is a bug but my text messages are no longer sending. As this is used for work it is been a huge inconvenience as it has happened randomly, and to add I’ve already paid to have access to the number for a while, its unfortunate. Reinstalling causes you to lose messages and it still hasn’t fixed the problem. Hoping to get a resolution/response on here but if I were you it’d make more sense to just pay for an additional number- you’ll at least have access to your messages

I have been extremely impressed and happy with this service and app.
Working great for me!
The app is great. It’s been working for me and receiving one time codes that allow a VoiP number. One thing I wish they could fix is allowing the app to continue to run when the phone is off. If you click your phone off to turn off the screen, the call drops. I wish they could fix that but other than that I’m very pleased.
