This Mac version is not close to the Windows version.

I’m done responding to this Developer. I’m so sorry that they can’t bring the Mac version up to the standards of the Windows version. The Windows version is superb, the Mac version is underdeveloped, and to my mind in need of serious work. No matter what the Mailbird people say, this email client is a disappointment. Don’t worry, I won’t install it again and hopefully there will be no more counter reviews from this developer.

SCAM Stay far away from this company.

Mailbird’s handling of its lifetime license is appalling and borders on fraud. After promising unlimited access to updates and features, Mailbird arbitrarily invalidated previous lifetime licenses when they rolled out version 3.0, leaving loyal customers stranded and demanding payment all over again for basic functionality. This is a blatant bait-and-switch, and anyone who trusted their original lifetime offer has every reason to feel ripped off.

The company ignored complaints, offered no meaningful support, and doubled down by selling yet another “lifetime” license at a higher price—while the people who funded their development and growth got nothing in return. Many users report lost access, reduced features, and broken promises, calling Mailbird’s actions a scam and their customer service nonexistent.

If you’re thinking of investing in Mailbird, save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere—this company has proven time and again that it cannot be trusted with your money or your loyalty.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your frustration, and we are grateful for the opportunity to clarify. Any Personal Pay Once or Business Pay Once licenses previously purchased remain valid and fully usable. These licenses continue to work with Mailbird 2.x, which is still actively maintained. While new major features are introduced only in Mailbird 3.0, we continue to release minor improvements, bug fixes, and critical security updates for Mailbird 2.x to ensure stability and safe usage. Many customers continue to use Mailbird 2.x seamlessly and without issue, as Pay Once licenses function as intended as long as the compatible version of Mailbird is installed. Owners of Personal or Business licenses can download Mailbird 2.x at any time from the link below: https://goto.getmailbird.com/mb2 Mailbird 3.0 is a separate, newer product line with a different licensing model, but it does not invalidate or revoke existing Pay Once licenses tied to Mailbird 2.x. We regret if this distinction was unclear and understand how this may have caused confusion. We value the customers who supported Mailbird early on and remain committed to honoring their licenses. If anyone is experiencing issues accessing the correct version or needs assistance restoring functionality, our support team will always be available to help.

Sad Bird

I had great hopes in Mailbird - unifying my various mail address, clean interface and more - but it’s constant crashing and hard to see icons have me rethinking the yearly subscription I paid after a week of using it. I haven’t uninstalled it or switched - I’ll give it a chance - but I hope the developers iron out the bugs soon.

Clean UI and Fast!

Love the very clean and modern UI, feels quite fast too. Works great for making all my email accounts (and I do have plenty) feel like a single account.
