About
MailTrace is a lightweight on-device photo timestamping and email record tool for keeping personal process records, field notes, screenshots, and work-related image archives.
You can take a photo, choose images from your library, or import screenshots and photos through the iOS share sheet. MailTrace adds timestamp watermarks locally on your device and prepares an email draft with a trace ID, attachment checksum information, and optional notes, making it easier to send records to your own mailbox or selected recipients for later review.
Key features:
• Add timestamp watermarks after taking a photo
• Select images from your library and prepare trace emails
• Import screenshots or photos through the Share Extension
• Customize a short watermark identity, such as a project, field team, or role
• Include trace IDs and SHA-256 attachment checksums in the email body
• Fall back to the system share sheet when system Mail is unavailable
• Process photos entirely on device without uploading them to any server
Use cases:
• Field or worksite records
• Overtime process notes
• Chat screenshot archiving
• Project, inspection, delivery, or quality-control records
• Personal image records organized by email and timestamp
Privacy:
MailTrace does not require an account, does not include advertising or tracking SDKs, and does not upload photos. Recipient emails and watermark settings are stored only on your device. Email delivery is handled by the iOS system Mail capability and depends on the Mail app, network status, and your email provider.
Important note:
MailTrace is intended for personal process records and later review. Watermarks, trace IDs, checksums, and email archives may serve as supporting material or reference, but they do not replace notarization, forensic examination, or electronic evidence preservation services, and they do not guarantee acceptance by any authority. For labor disputes, contract issues, or rights protection, keep the original records and consult a qualified professional.
