I having trouble getting connecting with ADP.
Constantly crashing
The app hasn’t let me open it in days due to crashing 5 seconds after tapping it
Removed a feature
Loved the app before they removed the feature to see who you are working with..I work in a department where we have leads and we have to know who we are working with just in case of an emergency and we must let shift lead know . Me and all my coworkers that have been using it have all been complaining about it and the morning shifts have been crazy because we don’t know who is gonna work n who to text to be late. We also would use the app to exchange with people from morning to night shift or vice versa.. Honestly if you guys add the feature back that would be a game changer for everyone..

Sessions Expiring are Useless
Good overall functionality and quality interface. The problem is the inactivity function updated into the newest version. I have multiple logins so I can’t use the facial recognition. Now I have to login every time I need to check my schedule or use the app.

Hi Xzader! We have recently reduced our session timeout period to 30 minutes as this is a security best practice and is aimed at reducing the risk of unauthorized access to your MakeShift account. If you use one log in more than the other, you can use the biometric feature on that specific account, and sign out when necessary to access the other account. I have an Apple phone and have synced my schedule to my calendar and all the times are two hrs ahead, I can’t seem to figure out how to changed that or get a persistent banner showing my next shift
I agree with the need for highlighting today differently, the bold number is hard to tell
I agree with the need for a master schedule view, it’s cumbersome to have to use the people icon four each separate day
As a schedule maker it’d be great to be able to assign colours to people’s names or to different shifts or have a view to group the same shifts together, so I don’t always have to keep counting to see if I have enough people scheduled for a given shift… or heck, all three of those options would be even better

Following up on suggested changes
Hi Devs,
Just want to reiterate what I think would make this app a lot more user friendly:
1. Highlighting the current day of the week in a different colour. The bold numbers only is difficult to see. Perhaps even changing the date into bold + a different colour. That can’t be difficult to code
2. Adding a “today” button, so that when you scroll through different months of the schedule, to get you back to today, you can reach with a click of a button
3. Again MASTER SCHEDULE VIEW—-I appreciate that you can click on the people icon, but it’s still cumbersome to only be able to view one day at a time. A separate dedicated view of the entire month master schedule would be very handy when looking to trade shifts.
4. Again PUSH NOTIFICATIONS WHEN SOMEONE POSTS A SHIFT. At present, if any of us post a shift for trade or giveaway, NONE of my colleagues know unless they specifically check for a posted shift. We all have to message each other on another app to inform, which defeats the purpose of posting it on the app. A simple push notification on our smartphones (along with an email notification) when someone posts a shift would be SO HELPFUL. If concerned would be too intrusive, add a toggle to turn them off for the individual.
Please make these changes as soon as you can. We’re finding as an organization that, as it stands, MakeShift is not improving our productivity as much as we thought it would, and some minor changes could make it so much worthwhile for us. I think anyone else who uses this app would find these changes helpful also.

Good app, would like to know who messages are sent to
My shift supervisor sends some messages to the group, and some messages just to me, but I can’t tell the difference because it doesn’t say who the message was sent to. It would be nice to tell if a message was sent just to me, or to others as well.
Could be good with fixes
This app has potential but I also had error messages when trying to sign in through ADP. It doesn’t sync with ADP because my password still hasn’t updated. The app should also support finger and face scanning for login.

ADP Vantage
I’m very upset over the fact when I try to log into MakeShift through ADP, specifically ADP Vantage. I get directed to a white screen with code wording giving me an error. I am in need of logging into this application through those specifics. It’s very frustrating.

If you would like to log in through MakeShift and access your schedule, you can use your email and a password. It has its ups and downs
Just got it today for work, and by reading the reviews, I’ll be honest I got a little worried. Hopefully it won’t crash on me. I guess this is pretty helpful app in terms of conveniency and having everyone in the group. The only downside I see from this is that I won’t get messages anymore from my coworkers. I usually don’t have much friends and I only receive texts rarely. I really do enjoy the small talk my coworkers and I have before they convince me in taking their shifts. Well there’s my rant and hopefully this app won’t take away the social life I have.

Waste of time can’t see your coworkers schedule so you can change shift.

Hi solvang ca, we are sorry to hear you are having troubles seeing your coworkers schedule. Within the app, there is a "Who Else is Working" feature. Please click any day on the schedule, and click the little people icon in the top right. This will show you who else is working so that you can see who you might be able to trade with! If you have any difficulties, please reach out at support@makeshift.ca.

Good but...
Love the repeating availability; however, there is no way to turn it off for long periods of time. If you enter availability without implementing an end date, or if you enter a distant end date, you will have to manually change each day, potentially forever, should your availability change.

New update
I hate the new update! It changed the time to a 12 hour clock. I am a shift worker, I prefer the 24 hour clock. I have looked on the app to change it back and I don't see any options for 24 hour time. Please make the 12 hour clock optional.
