Bug fixes and performance improvements

User reviews

The app crashes all the time

Love the idea and the functions but it crashes all the time. I’m unable to read earlier communication form our center as the app crashes everytime I try to scroll up. I believe there are some bugs that need to be fixed.

Response from developer

We’re so sorry about this. We’re releasing a new version of our Families app shortly that we believe will solve this for you. Please bare with us while we get this to you as quickly as we can!

Recent change is disappointing

They have recently included the use of Sue, the AI assistant, to be counted in the number of requests you use, so with the free account when you only get 10 free requests, it’s gone so quickly. Also not sure why i’ve been downgraded to 10 requests a month now instead of 20 as I thought this wasn’t changing for those already signed up before they changed to that. Let down and will probably use another platform soon

Needs work

Can’t get push notifications on iPhone for jottings (yes, notifications are all set to “on”) which our centre uses often to convey updates and news. Only get the once a week email, so I miss important timely comms. Once jottings is read in bell icon menu it should be marked as read. I don’t want to go to the front page to mark it as read.

Have raised with our centre and they can’t help.

Response from developer

Thanks for your feedback! We’re releasing a new version of our Mana Families mid-August (and your centre can opt in now) that we believe will solve all of these for you! We can’t wait to see what you think!

Over the top with ‘notifications’

The amount of emails is ridiculous!! Why is there not an opt out of the constant email spam everytime something is posted.

The ‘catch up’ notification on the main screen is not relevant after seeing the post in each chat the ‘catch up’ should be gone aswell as the notification bell in top right corner. No one has the time to then go into each of these to clear the notification.

Why when opening each chat the first thing on the page the start of the chat, and one needs to navigate down to the latest post.

Response from developer

Hey there! We are sooooooooooooo sorry about the email spam. That should be fixed for you now. Also, totally hear you about the Catch Ups and Chats having the same things in two places. We're working on that. Let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your experience magical: hello@makemana.com.

Spam emails

App is fine except for the sheer volume of spam emails I receive from it. It’s relentless!!!

Response from developer

Hey there! We are sooooooooooooo sorry about the email spam. That should be fixed for you now. And we want your experience to be more than fine! Let us know if there is anything else we can do to make your experience magical: hello@makemana.com.
