New but worse

New app looks good, but has worse functionality than the framed website of the previous app.

Specifically, it doesn’t remember login details, so every time you open it you’re faced with a login needing 2FA via email which takes nearly a minute per try. This should remember the account and use on device biometrics to confirm upon open.

Then you also get notifications for “a new appointment note” which is never a new appointment or a note anyway. So each time someone in the hospital clicks on your appointment, you get to waste 5 minutes seeing if anything changed. Almost as bad as linked in notifications.

Notifications would be great

I use this to keep track of my fathers many appointments, as with our health care and where he is at, they don’t ring you to ask when, rather just get them added randomly. I get that happy to take whatever appointment he needs, however it would be a great feature to add in notifications of when something is added, I have to physically check it a couple of times a day in order to see if something has been added (my father gets the text however isn’t reliable at passing them on) there is also providers that don’t use the app even within the public system (such are chemotherapy treatment appointments), the ability to add these manually would be of great assistance

Needs work

I receive emails from the app detailing changes. The emails do not contain any details of the changes.

I go to app and there is no way to correlate the emails advising changes to what has changed.

Please fix this. The email advices are a waste of time.

As an extra, appointments are made by others. Please include a mechanism/contact details for who made the appointments and how to contact them.

There is reference to appointment letters. These are physical letters that sometimes do not arrive in time for the appointment.

Please ad facial recognition login where appropriate.

Useless

Complicates things, very old in security and verification. Should be using biometrics.

Useful

Great app, would have missed my appointment without it. Would be great if I could use it to reschedule all of my appointments instead of only some

Highly recommend

Keeps me on top of all my appointments- can be used for multiple people too. It updated as soon as the appointment was made (literally within 10sec). Also stores all referrals- would be handy if an auto reminder issue could be added if a year has passed and no appointment has been made yet.

Works for appointments at SCGH and RPH (possibly the other public metro hospitals but have not tried).

App stopped working

It worked for a few weeks. Now I can’t get into it. Deleted it reinstalled, still won’t load.

Excellent

I’ve been using this app for quite a while and I find it excellent, I see it has had some negative feedback but this hasn’t been my experience.

It’s improving

There are limitations on the app especially regarding confirming or changing appointments, but apparently this will be addressed in 2026. Overall I have found the app useful for keeping track of appointments across 4 different clinics. Looking forward to the changes.

Invaluable

A year ago a very serious health incident suddenly put me in hospital. Since then I have had constant medical appointments and this app has been invaluable in allowing me to see a quick summary of upcoming appointments.

Yeh worst app

By far the worst app, locks you out, pin won’t communicate, customer service is abysmal, password rest doesn’t work, the app keeps logging out

USELESS

Cannot log in and it won’t send code. USELESS

Clunky App

Very very clunky app. Fields don’t know their purpose e.g. are they email or phone number field. Hence they don’t auto-fill from an iPhone. The whole app doesn’t adjust to the size of the iPhone screen so I’m having to move the screen round all the time to see where I’m going next, and that next/continue button is often way way down the page and off the screen. When someone rang me about an appointment, the app sent me an email and the App Bell drop down told me I had a new appointment at the time and date that they rang me. Very clunky to use.

Very helpful

I’ve noticed some great improvements over the last year or so but it’s very frustrating that I can only use the reschedule feature for some of my appointments not all

Response from developer

Terrible

Its good when it works and terrible when it doesnt. Hate this app, definitely needs a good upgrade

Don’t bother

Will not let me log in . Hours wasted trying to problem solve .

Manage My Care

Absolutely love this app especially when you are caring for multiple patients in the family. It is an excellent first port of call to see if an appointment has been scheduled and is immediate instead of waiting for up to 2 weeks for the letter to arrive in the regular mail. Using Manage My Care in conjunction with Outpatients Direct is such a superior way of handling appointments.

An area of improvement I would like to see is that all hospitals linked to this app and Outpatients Direct put the Manage My Care flyer in with every regular letter so that new patients are aware of it and as a first point of call, hand a flyer to each new patient going through ED for future appointments at each hospital. I was not aware of this excellent app until six months first after attending PCH Hospital and many appointments in between then and now. It was not until I received a letter in the mail from SCG Hospital which included your flyer. A lot of wasted time and frustration could’ve been avoided.

Also Outpatients Direct admin staff are not aware of this app and how it operates.

Simple Appointment Management

Easy to setup and provides simple and easy to use management of my appointments.
Hospital map is a nice feature.
Would get 5 stars if it had a feature to export appointments to my email client.
