I found the structure of the app disorganised. I also found the podcasts as self-referential instead of just laying out the basics of the topics. For instance, the podcasts often refer to the “trinity” without even telling you what that means. The author just assumes that you already know his material as well as he does. Many of the podcasts talk a lot about how they are “updates” to the original pod cast. But why should I care, especially if the “update” is over 12 years old? They again assume you are already familiar with the material.
The app is also missing information. For instance The “DISC” diagram is missing. Furthermore, in the “shownotes” they have the gall to say “for those of you who don’t have the show-notes” … and then go on to describe the missing diagram.
The author, Mark Horstman, appears to like the sound of his own voice, and is more interested in selling you stuff like “signed copies” of his book, rather than spending the time to create a useful, well organised app.

The best I’ve found
I’ve been listening to MT for ten years. I keep coming back to it. I bet I’ve listened to on average, every top rated management/ business podcast there is. In the real world, where it counts, this advice works.
Amazing content decent app
Love the content, applying these lessons is truly transforming my role as a manager. On top of that they are enjoyable to listen to with great replay-ability.
Only complaint (took off one star for this) is that when iOS puts the app in the background I have to force restart the app to use it and re-find my place in the podcast. Using an iPhone 11 pro.

Way behind the times
Was initially excited by some of Manager Tools podcasts and their foundational basics, but found most of the content to be very outdated and completely uninterested in more current management philosophies. Great for the old school crowd who believe job success is sucking up to your boss and change or growth is irrelevant; any manager who wants to lead in the present with transparency and equity should look elsewhere.

Pausing constantly
I liked listening using the app to find what I need, haven’t used it for a while now find it pausing automatically constantly every time when the phone went idle/protection screen like every 30 seconds! Podcasts are not videos ! Please fix this ASAP thanks ...
No background play?
First of all I have to say that I love the content!
I just recently upgraded my phone to an iPhone 11 from an iPhone 7 and I can no longer listen to the manager tools App in the background. I was able to before on my iPhone 7. Am I missing something?

Buggy
Great content. Five star actually.
However, the podcasts can’t play while the app is in the background and the app is super buggy. Get it together!

Battery drain
I love manager tools, great content. This app needs some work though. In the last 24 hours, the iPhone shows 61% of my battery usage is from Manager Tools, and all of that has been in the background, I haven’t opened the app today or listened to any of the podcasts.

Credible Knowledge - Simplified
Great guys here with a lot of knowledge and guidance on navigating the black box of careers and communication.
For some reason the app or my phone can only save a certain amount of booked marked podcasts. Wish you could organize the book marked casts better instead of having to scroll through them all. Possibly a folder structure.

Manager essentials
This app is fantastic for any manager or people seeking to understand how to communicate with their peers. There is a podcast for every issue you may have to deal with.
Just doesn’t work
I went through a stage of listening to these podcasts on a regular basis a year or so ago and was looking forward to getting back to it now I have more time, but the app has updated and is now unusable, not just difficult, it actually doesn’t work. This needs fixing ASAP as this resource is wasted otherwise. You can access the website, but downloading podcasts isn’t available on there and overall usability is poor on the website.

Having listened to some podcasts a long time ago, I wanted to properly join the community now the time is right for me, but alas the app just hangs. I can’t even register.
I can’t imagine how frustrating it would be if I had subscribed and then not able to access anything. Please fix this issue . I want to give you 5 stars!

Great tool for first time managers!
Great content, but crashes frequently
I'm really happy to have this app to help me manage the podcasts for my daily commute, but it crashes frequently—multiple times during a session—which is very disruptive, and it doesn't remember where I left off.
