Works, notifications need work

It’s a fine app. However, the app will often send you notifications for things. You don’t really care about. Like new app updates, ongoing issues, or just other things that the developer wants to tell you. I’m sure some people appreciate that, but often I get really annoyed because I think I have received a text, but it’s just something about the app. I find these really annoying and wish there was an option to turn them off without turning off all notifications to the entire app.

We actually send push notifications quite rarely (only a couple in the past two months), but we understand that even infrequent notifications can be frustrating if they're not relevant to you. We're always looking to improve. A couple of things that might help: Notification Preferences – You can now control exactly which notifications you receive in the Mango settings. If you haven't updated the app recently, grab the latest version to access this feature. Different tones – SMS and voicemail notifications use distinct sounds from our standard notifications, so you can tell them apart. If you have any other concerns, we'd be happy to help.
