Manus is a general AI agent that bridges mind and action. It autonomously plans, researches, writes code, and delivers finished products using its own virtual computer. It can handle complex tasks like financial modeling, data analysis, automated reporting, slide deck generation, and media creation.
Key features include autonomous task decomposition, asynchronous cloud execution (meaning it works even when the app is closed), advanced data analysis and reporting, boardroom-quality slide deck generation, design view and media generation (images and videos), and comprehensive web research powered by the Manus 1.6 Max architecture.
The app offers free and unlimited chat for asking questions and getting instant answers. Users can upgrade to Agent Mode for complex, multi-step execution. The app also has in-app purchases, suggesting a freemium or tiered pricing model for advanced features.
Manus can handle a wide range of tasks, including complex financial modeling, data analysis, automated reporting, generating complete slide decks from a single prompt, creating and editing images on an interactive canvas, transforming text prompts into high-quality images and video stories, and conducting deep web research.
Unlike chatbots that only generate text, Manus uses its own virtual computer to autonomously plan, research, and deliver a finished product. It works asynchronously in the cloud, allowing you to close the app while it continues working and notifies you upon completion. It also breaks down complex requests into a to-do list and executes them step by step.
