App works in 2023
App logs and records your bread crumbs “dots” it works perfectly well on my iPhone.
Map dots
It works well to give crumbs for a trip but you can’t erase or save a previous trip…at least I can’t get it to do that.

Map Dots is designed to be the ‘Easiest to Use’ app. The ‘Trip Reset’ button is like resetting the odometer on your car. It changes your old dots to small brown dots and your new dots will appear in green. If you need to save old trips I suggest using the slightly more complex “GPS Travel Journal” app.
Canvassing Garage Sales
I used this app to canvass our neighborhood when we had our neighborhood wide garage sale day. This made it easy to tell which streets I had gone down as I checked out every garage sale.
Exploring
I like to go for walks and this app shows me areas I haven’t explored yet.
