Paywall

Not sure why it’s requiring a subscription to sign up and test..

Everyone Pays?

Upon signing up, the app made myself and my bro choose a subscription plan, which was odd since the information I received was that it was pretty much free to use (unless you wanted the AI). I picked the lowest allowable plan (mostly to see if it would be worth it) and invited him to it. He was also asked to pick a plan with no option to continue under my plan. I was under the assumption, based on information in the help center and other online forums that, in addition to this being largely available for free, that subscriptions to Maple+ (the AI, basically) would be extended to those invited to your family on the platform. I think there needs to be either an update or a clarification on whether this is actually free and there’s some type of error in the app itself (understandable, just requires a fix), or if the marketing for this is inaccurate and it’s actually an app that requires payment (especially payment from everyone in your family).

Paywall requesting 5x usage as lower tier

Can’t use app as blocked by paywall on download after connecting calendar. Really bad app practice to gate app in this way and I believe against App Store guidelines

Pay screen

Cannot get past the pay screen, I thought there was a free version but doesn’t seem to be

Won't let me use Apple Maps

Google maps is inaccurate, so I don't have it on my phone at all. This app forces you to use google maps and there's no way to switch it to apple maps or to copy the address so that you can paste it to the map you actually want to use. I tried pressing, "Give feedback or suggestion," multiple times and obviously it's a fake button because it doesn't actually take you to any forms like the rest of the buttons. Please allow me to switch the automatic map to apple instead of google.

Not free

This app isn’t free, you can’t even get on the app without paying a subscription

Can’t get past pay screen

Installed the app and linked my calendar and am stuck on a screen that requires me to pay for monthly messaging. I thought many features were supposed to be free. Hope this is a bug and gets fixed.

Aggravated

I been using it for awhile and loved it. Loved the new ai feature. Was helping so much. Planning recipes w what I had on hand. My problem was my ai was stuck in the wrong time zone. So it was planning everything an hour ahead. I tried every fix I could think. Then I saw update available and now can’t use ai at all now without paying. :(

Was the best assistant until you started charging for using ai

I just opened the app today to see that the ai assistant is no longer unlimited. It was the best app on the market and now it’s gone down hill just from trying to charge us for basic things like using the ai assistant. I feel like you are penalising single neurodivergent mothers who have no money.

Seems like a good thing

Used the app for a couple of days. It has a lot of good things but for incredibly busy people, like myself, the lack of customization (like color coding) was frustrating and overwhelming. Which is what ultimately led me to remove the app after only a couple of days.

Not easy to use

I wanted to like this, but not user friendly and I am irritated within the first hour of attempting to use it. I will spend more time trying to get the app to do what I need than doing my tasks.

Good substitute to Skylight

I had been wanting one of those skylight calendars for a long time for our family. Maple came across my Instagram feed and I figured I’d try it. I LOVE this app. The AI assistant is so smart and helpful. This definitely quenches my thirst for the skylight calendar. I have it on my phone for on the go and I put it on my iPad too and that sits on the kitchen counter for everyone to see the plan for the day. I love the meal planning section and how easy it is to write your shopping list right from the meal plan section. It makes so much sense. I can easily assign tasks to my husband and they go right to his phone. It’s a great place to keep track of shared appointments for our son as well. If you write an email to the support staff they get back to you really quickly with actual helpful advice/explanations. 10/10.

Would be better with widgets

The app is annoying to setup to say the least but once you get through that there’s no way to check anything without directly opening the app and clicking on several tabs. It would be nice to have a maple calendar widget on my Home Screen or a maple to-do itinerary widget for the day where I can see tasks as soon as I unlock my phone.

By far the best ai assistant

As a newly diagnosed neurodivergent mother, I have recently moved out on my own with my husband and son and it’s been hard to keep up with housework and everything we have to do. Maple is amazing and an absolutely godsend. I am currently organising it but it’s so easy to use. You ask the ai to do something and it takes the whole thing off your plate. No more lost lists or excuses. The only issue I have is when the list gets big it glitches, opening and closing the subgroups and missing categories and items which is annoying but working with several smaller lists and breaking them down is negating that issue. Might want to get it fixed though developers! It also glitches when exiting lists on iPhone.

Wish there were widgets

Love this app but if they had widgets it would be so much better. To have a quick view of meals and our day/week without opening the app would be a game changer.

Maybe nice, but can’t connect bottom calendar on list

Bottom calendar on any longer list is not selectable when setting up (happened adding Google Calendar and iCloud calendar). Happened to prevent me from adding the most important events and using it at all. I do think it would be extremely useful for our family, but that was a complete roadblock.

Maple AI Assistant - Game Changer!

Wow, I just updated the app and the new maple assistant is a game changer. It automatically and intuitively finds gaps in my and my partners schedules. I’ve been using it for meal planning and all of our family’s organizational needs. 🙏Thank you!

Impossible to live without

Long time maple user, and the new maple assistant is INSANE.

No lifetime subscription

Disappointing to see there’s no lifetime subscription. Very predatory

Just downloaded, pretty amazing so far

Love the simple layout and templates

Im using this app with my partner and it’s a great way to coordinate chores, keep track of tasks, make movie lists, plan trips or events, and other fun lists and activities.
