Rides Around Tuscany

So an enquiry via Ai suggested Mapy.com as a good app to use for our 2 weeks in Tuscany. My intention was to use it for hiking, in much the same way I use my OS app in the UK. We ended up using it for much, much more. In towns and cities being able to locate WCs and public water taps was fantastic. Then I realized I could use it as a sat nav when driving - it became my preferred choice. Also navigation around Volterra, San Gimignano, Siena, Florence and many other towns and cities was superb (6.5 mile walking in Florence. Fantastic app that I have already recommended to friends who are heading to the region later this year. Brilliant app for hiking as well.

Offline maps and very basic flawed routing

Free version review: automatic routing but no manual adjustments to route. Does not select Mtb tracks even when routing for Mtb, two points on a river will not auto route by boat.

Good day, Thank you for your review, and we're sorry for the inconvenience. You can add waypoints to a route, but they need to be placed on routable paths or roads. Unfortunately, it is not possible to place them in locations without accessible paths, such as the middle of a forest. MTB routing should work normally. However, boat routing is currently available only in the Czech Republic, so it is not possible to plan boat routes in the UK at the moment. We apologize for this limitation.

Endlich mal eine richtig gute, europäische Alternative zu Google? Ich weiß gar nicht ob man von Alternative sprechen kann nachdem Mapy meiner Meinung nach so viel besser ist als Google! Die Navigation funktioniert hervorragend, auch wenn man mal kein Netz hat und das inkl. Geschwindigkeitsanzeige und Blitzer-Warner. Wenn die Geschwindigkeiten manchal auch nicht ganz exakt stimmen, stört mich das nicht wirklich. Bzgl. Offline-Navigation: ich hatte keine Offline-Karten heruntergeladen und musste nach gestarteter Navigation meine mobilen Daten beim Durchfahren der Schweiz deaktivieren. Mapy hat die Route trotzdem exakt gezeigt und fängt einen direkt ein sobald man mal falsch abbiegt. Gerade bei Ausfahrten in einer Gruppe ist Mapy Gold wert! Bei Google wird man - trotz vieler Wegpunkte - immer wieder auf alternative Routen geschickt oder fernab der eigentlich geplanten Route geleitet, sobald man sich verfährt. Mit Mapy kann man Routen genau planen und mit mehreren Fahrzeugen abfahren, ohne dass einzelne Fahrzeuge des Konvois auf einmal auf einer ganz anderen Route landen…

Super Leistung für den Preis

Ich nutze Mapy regelmäßig für die Planung meiner Fahrradtouren und bin positiv überrascht. Die App bietet übersichtliche Routen, zuverlässige Navigation und viele nützliche Funktionen für Radfahrer. Besonders gut gefällt mir, dass sich Strecken schnell anpassen lassen und unterschiedliche Fahrradtypen berücksichtigt werden.

Die Bedienung ist einfach und verständlich, auch längere Touren lassen sich problemlos planen. Die Karten sind klar dargestellt und die Navigation funktioniert zuverlässig. Für den Preis bekommt man wirklich viel Leistung. Für Freizeitfahrer und regelmäßige Radfahrer definitiv eine empfehlenswerte App.

Bonne application gps, claire, mais ne tient pas compte des fermetures de routes pourtant bien présentes sur de nombreuses applications gps.

Poor login UX

I use Windy and was pointed towards Mapy with in-app advertising!Despite not being pleased with advertising on an app I already pay for, I took a look at Mapy. However, not only can I not create an account - as it fails to send a verification code to my email - but one has to login in order to get support on the login issue. Catch-22 in action. I can also see from reviews that I’m not the only one to have issues with login verification. Sorry, poor UX.

cannot delete app

I cannot delete the app off my phone, and there is no feedback form to resolve this.

Support responded with by giving me the general directions on how to delete the app, and a link to contact support. The directions were identical to what I tried before. I tried again and it will not delete. I tried to contact support to communicate this, but the given link only returns FAQs with no contact option.

Has potential as car GPS

Works well, nice CarPlay integration. Would be great with speed cameras and traffic, until then it’s better for hiking etc

Perfekt für Outdoorfreunde

Also eins vorweg: ich schreibe fast nie eine Rezension aber hier kann ich nicht anders. Eine super detaillierte App die man sowohl sehr gut zuhause vor der eigenen Tür nutzen oder aber auch perfekt im Urlaub in den Bergen nutzen kann. Ich muss sagen hier bezahl ich gern fürs Premium Paket. Wenn es weiterhin so läuft und hoffentlich noch viele tolle neue Sachen dazu kommen bin ich mehr als begeistert.

раньше приложение нравилось больше

Очень люблю это приложение, самое точное из всех что мне знакомы. Обидно, что после стали платными многие ранее бесплатные функции. А еще после последнего обновления пропал «профиль высот» и вообще не показывает набор, если маршрут простроен через несколько точек. Надеюсь это исправят, потому что это один из важнейших пунктов.
