About

MarinePath brings marine maps and GPS workout recording to Apple Watch, with an iPhone companion for browsing maps and reviewing sessions. MARINE MAPS ON YOUR WRIST See your location on an OpenStreetMap base map with NOAA marine charts and navigation markers where available. Follow your location, pan to explore, and zoom with the Digital Crown. Open MarinePath quickly from a watch face complication. WAYPOINTS AND DISTANCES Create named waypoints on iPhone and sync them to your watch. Choose marker and waypoint labels, including distance from your current location. Use miles, kilometers, or nautical miles for distance, and mph, km/h, or knots for speed. RECORD WATER SPORTS SESSIONS Record GPS workouts on Apple Watch for downwinding, foiling, kiteboarding, windsurfing, surfing, swimming, rowing, canoeing, paddling, sailing and other water sports. Choose whether the map follows your location, and use Apple's native Water Lock to prevent accidental touches. REVIEW YOUR TRACKS Sessions sync from your watch to iPhone. Review your track, duration, distance, average and maximum speed, and available heart-rate stats. Use speed-colored tracks to explore how your speed changed throughout your session. Export your tracks as GPX. EXPLORE ON IPHONE Browse Apple Maps with marine detail or satellite imagery. Search for places, save map views, and create or move waypoints. COVERAGE AND SAFETY NOAA charts and navigation markers are available where NOAA provides coverage in U.S. waters, not worldwide. An internet connection is needed to download map data; this is not a guaranteed offline navigation app. GPS workout recording requires an Apple Watch paired with your iPhone. Location permission is needed for location features, and Health access is requested for workout recording and available heart-rate data. MarinePath is for situational awareness and session tracking. It is not a replacement for official nautical charts, approved navigation systems, emergency services, or safe on-water judgment. NOAA Chart Display Service content is not certified for navigation. Map data includes OpenStreetMap contributors and NOAA. No endorsement by these providers or Apple is implied.
