About

Become a legendary captain in the golden Age of Discovery. The year is 1588. Start as an unknown sailor and forge your destiny across the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Indian Ocean, and East Asian seas through trade, exploration, and naval warfare. GLOBAL TRADE — BUY LOW, SELL HIGH 15 rare commodities — spices, silk, porcelain, tea, gold, ivory — with dynamic prices driven by real supply and demand. Master the markets, plan optimal routes, and build your commercial empire. The player auction house adds even more opportunity. 48 HISTORIC SHIPS From nimble cutters to mighty Manila galleons, from Columbus's Santa María to the legendary Black Pearl — each ship has unique cargo capacity, speed, cannons, and crew. Upgrade your fleet and dominate the open ocean. NAVAL COMBAT — TACTICAL WARFARE Encounter pirates or rival players on the high seas. Battles unfold in two phases: cannon bombardment and boarding. Choose your ammunition, deploy your crew, and let strategy decide the victor. Mysterious creatures on Skull Island await the bravest captains. MULTIPLAYER — SAIL TOGETHER Chat with captains from around the world in the tavern. Hire other players as crew or work for wages aboard another's ship. Every soul on these seas is a real adventurer. CITY GOVERNANCE — RISE TO GOVERNOR Invest in port cities, build your reputation, and run for governor — become a Duke in Lisbon, a Pasha in Cairo, or a Daimyo in Nagasaki. Rule your city and enjoy daily stipends and exclusive privileges. SURVIVAL — THE SEA SPARES NO ONE Resupply fresh water, repair your hull, tend to injured crew — ocean voyages are never easy. Resource management and route planning are every captain's essential skills. LIVING ECONOMY Six currency zones, banking, ship insurance, and secure vaults — a complete economic system that brings the Age of Discovery to life. From the Strait of Gibraltar to the Spice Islands, from the Caribbean to the Taiwan Strait — the vast ocean awaits your conquest. Set sail and write your legend!

What's New in MaritimeTycoon

1.2

**What's New** • Slave Market Daily Purchase Limits — Each port now enforces daily buying caps: Port Governor 3,000 / Top-10 Investor 1,000 / Other Players 200. Limits reset at UTC midnight and are tracked per port independently. Remaining quota is displayed in real time. • Auction House Prosperity Requirements — Auction items may now require a minimum city prosperity level to purchase. Locked items display a lock icon and the current vs. required prosperity level. • Legendary & Pirate Ship Artwork — 34 new ship images added for all Legendary (L_) and Pirate (P_) vessels. • Legendary Ships — Port-exclusive availability and server-wide stock limits introduced for legendary ships in the Shipyard. **Improvements** • Undercrewed Sailing — Ships can now depart even when crew count is below minimum. Speed is reduced to 10% of max speed (calculated from base speed, not compound-penalized speed). A warning indicator is shown during voyage. • Slave Market Crew Floor — When crew quarters are full, you can still hire up to 10% of total crew capacity per purchase. **Bug Fixes** • Fixed market display issue caused by updated API response format. • Speed detail panel now shows the correct speed matching actual sailing speed. • Crew list in Dock no longer overflows on smaller screens. • Voyage log and crew panels in the Sailing screen are now mutually exclusive (opening one closes the other). • Slave market cargo space calculation now correctly subtracts water and cannon space. • Fixed negative crew count bugs; crew desertion and mutiny events now log correctly across all platforms.
