A Superb App

If you’re looking for a Markdown editor that is easy to use, beginner-friendly and high quality, … well, you’ve found it! Here’s what I enjoy about this app:

1) Live preview is a wonderful thing -- it lets you “see” what your document looks like as you create / edit it! This is a must have, especially if you’re not flawlessly fluent in the markdown language.

2) The Workspace allows me to keep my documents organized and easy to find.

3) The textbundle feature is wonderful, as it keeps your document and various resources, such as images, all stored together as a single resource. This way, the files don’t get easily separated, which I really appreciate.

4) Amazing support. I wrote the developer and asked for the ability to specify an image’s size. Many editors out there don’t really provide this feature. However, the developer wrote me right back and implemented the feature the very next day! Talk about customer service!

5) Can export to the PDF format. Even better, you can even independently specify the text font, font size, etc.

Highly recommended app, especially for educators who need to work with the markdown format.

Can’t insert an image

Could be good but one blocking point : it’s impossible to insert an image using relative path !

Response from developer

You can insert an image using a relative path using the macOS version of the app (included with your purchase) but not on iOS due to system sandbox restrictions. If you’d like more assistance, please reach out to support@zetegy.com. Would love to help you find a solution!

Can’t create document

I keep getting an error every time I try to create a document. Giving up.

Problème lors du lancement de l’app

Je suis vivement intéressé par l’app que j’ai d’ailleurs payé mais elle ne démarre pas je supprimerai ce commentaire au plus vite quand j’obtiendrai une solution de votre part, merci d’avance.

Totally recommend but…

I didn’t have high expectations when opening the app for the first time, but I was pleasantly surprised. This is one of the best Markdown editors on the market. Unlike most Markdown apps, it offers live Markdown editing (it doesn’t create its own folders with its own files), and it comes with solid features like auto-closing and auto-indenting in code blocks.

That said, there are a few things I’d love to see added—features that could make this the ultimate Markdown editor for macOS:
- When using italics or bold, the text in the editor should also be stylized, not just in the live preview.
- Support for Mermaid diagrams, LaTeX, and math expressions in the preview.
- More shortcuts for a smoother experience.
- Lists (both ordered and unordered) and also Todo should continue automatically when starting a new line.
- Live preview for to-do tasks.
- The app doesn’t appear in the list of apps I can use to open Markdown files from Finder.

that said kudos to the developers—this is the most promising Markdown editor I’ve come across in a while! I hope it gets the attention it deserves.

Hi Rahan, Thanks so much for trying Markdown+ and your detailed feedback. Those are all great suggestions and most are already on the roadmap! The latest version of Markdown+ (1.5) already supports LaTeX in editor alongside live rendering in previews. Please let us know if that improves your workflow with the app!
