Marker for Bookmarks User Reviews

Intriguing….

This app offers an interesting take on bookmarking. The main page was prefilled with links which was frustrating until I went back to the app description & figured out why. I’m def keeping it to explore more. The freemium model ain’t shabby either.

Thank you for your thoughtful review and for giving Marker a 5-star rating—we’re thrilled you’re finding it an interesting iPhone bookmarking app! Marker itself pre-fills the main page with curated links on different topics, but you can override the page at any time for personalized bookmark organization. We’re glad you took the time to explore the app description for clarity. Enjoy effortless bookmark navigation with swipes to access links and long presses for other options. We’d also love for you to check out other innovative productivity apps like Aiden, your AI assistant for iPhone, also developed by us, to boost your efficiency further with AI-powered tools. Consider sharing Marker with friends or exploring our Save-A-Lot Bundle for a discount on multiple apps to enhance your digital experience. Your feedback inspires us to keep improving, so thanks again for being part of our community!

This spammy app breaks every best practice rule!

First off- there was NO onboarding. Nothing. It loads right up to a list of pre-saved bookmarks, making you think something is wrong. Every single bookmark is for fund raising utilizing various fund raising platforms. I understand that the dev has causes close to their heart, but they should be left OUT of the app. For all intent and purpose, this is an app dedicated to fundraising! Furthermore, when you backround the app, and return to it, an in-app safari page pops up with a chat interface and something asking you a question, presumably an “AI assistant” of sorts. You have to dismiss it EVERY TIME. If you tap on a dedicated fundraiser bookmark, it immediately opens safari, or in one case, the App Store. I strongly suspect the dev has an iTunes affiliate account and various others, and this app is a mere front. It’s not actually going to do anything to help you, such as say, functioning as a bookmark saver. It’s going to help the poor in Malawi. Yeah, right. This spammy crud missle of an app is not worth downloading and caused nothing but confusion, frustration, and pop ups. It is exactly what we don’t want to download. Especially fellow developers, who can report this sort of thing, and whom have the means to trace and capture the apps traffic to see where the spam is coming and going to…

Thank you for your feedback! We truly appreciate hearing from users like you, as it helps us improve the experience for everyone. The app was designed to allow users to manage and interact with bookmarks in a unique and flexible way. While some content is periodically shared in the app, we understand this may not align with everyone's preferences. We’d like to clarify that any pop-up you see when the app is opened or brought to the foreground is actually set by the user under the Settings page, specifically in the Default Landing Page section. We apologize for any confusion caused, and we’re working to improve the overall experience. As always, you can add your own bookmarks, share them, and even customize the app to suit your needs. For a more tailored experience, you may want to explore our other apps in the App Store. We hope to make Marker even better with future updates based on feedback like yours. Feel free to check back soon!

This app is just one big ad

This app is a list of links to a website about PDFs. There’s a small button on the top left where we can view and add bookmarks.

Thank you for reaching out. It seems that some of the features of the app may not have been clear. Marker is designed to be a streamlined bookmarking app, allowing for the quick and easy saving, organization and retrieval of URLs. There is a small button on the top left of the screen for viewing and adding these bookmarks. The bookmarks that come pre-populated in the app are meant to showcase the app’s functionality (Periodically share bookmarks on different topics to users). You may wish to check out 1Extn and/or ‘Aiden - Your AI Assistant’ which are part of a trilogy I created to see if they better suit any of your needs.
