New and Improved
The new update has moved this app from something that I just got by with to something I’m truly happy and excited to use for my cross-stitching. The recent updates made it so much smoother and easier to use. Everything I found cumbersome previously (the long press to park, the extra steps to go from park to marking complete, switching from highlighting one symbol to another, zooming and moving around the chart) is so much easier and faster now. It’s also running faster than it ever did, even with a large 200,000+ stitch chart. The embedded tutorials and the helpful guide along the side have both been immensely helpful as well. This update has made my subscription feel justified.

Game changer
I’ve recently found this app (both old version and new) and it has completely changed my sewing! It has enabled me to be more minimal when travelling with a project, and it makes it incredibly easy to store and use patterns. Couldn’t be happier with it!
Update is amazing!
I’ve been stitching with this app for about 4 years and have been loving it. Imagine my surprise when they came out with an update that made it 10x better. This is a must have for complex or full coverage patterns.
What a game changer!
I am a newer user (probably the last 4-6 months or so) but I love that I have found this app and this page! All of the updates on the recent big update have been great. It is so refreshing to use something supported by real people that listen and have the ability to change things when needed. While I was just feeling like I was getting the hang of the older version, I’m happily watching videos and playing with the newer version. As should be expected, it will take some adjustment to get used to the new version but I can already tell the improvements made to the platform are worth it. I plan on being a long-time subscriber. 😊

Was a great app, now it’s amazing!
The new update that’s been a long time in the works has added so much functionality to this already ver6 useful app.
This designers for stitchers, and the dev team are extremely open to suggestions for changes and enhancements. Lots of support from other users in FB groups.

2026 Update
Several issues that I had with the old version were corrected in this update. App works much better now. Added features to add pages after uploading a pattern, etc, is greatly appreciated. Works good.
Great app for cross stitchers
This is one of the very few apps I ever paid for and it deserves every bit. I like working on big cross stitch projects and this app helps me keep everything super clean and tidy. Especially the color highlight function makes life soooo much easier
Missing Colors
I am enjoying using this program and find it very useful. However, it does not include DMC Mouline colors.

Simply incredible
I got this app and I don’t have any pdf patterns. But I took a picture of my paper pattern and scaled it in the app. The app identifies the grid and it works just as good as the true pdf one. So happy!
Just brilliant!
This app has changed my cross stitching world and is an absolute pleasure to use! So many features to get your head around but once you’ve done it, cross stitching - particularly Heaven & Earth designs, is so much easier. Couldn’t be without it now!
Fails to Refresh Purchase
Old iPad died. Had to replace with a new iPad. I could open the app and see the green check mark which shows I purchased a subscription but the app would not refresh my purchase so that I could open my job to start marking up my stitches using the new iPad. My Apple Customer Service advised that it is a developer problem. However I was already in touch with this developer and they could not refresh my purchase. The said Apple Customer Support could handle my problem. I asked for a refund and I’ve lost months of work.
I ended up canceling / deleting the App from my device. I re-installed Markup RXP to start a new subscription because it’s so user friendly to work with. I love how it works.

Instant crash...help please!
I’ve heard amazing things about this app my other Cross-Stitchers.
So I was very disappointed when I finally was able to download it and it immediately crashed after the title screen. I can’t even get the app to open at all. Please help me, I would love to be able to change my review to five stars!

Best enabling tool - for Cross Stitch Addiction
I’ve been using this app for several years, ever since the cross stitch bug hit me. It is straightforward to upload patterns, easy to mark them up and provides that sharp dopamine rush as you see the % completed creep upwards.
The only fly in this wonderful ointment is what’s missing. I really wish there was some way to take the floss lists from more than one pattern and turn it into a consolidated shopping list. Basically I want the features I’m used to from the inventory management systems of manufacturing companies in the app I use for my hobby. I said it was a wish, but a girl can dream….
I only put this here because the app is very good at interpreting a variety of formats of floss lists and keys from the patterns uploaded. And it is simple to change one colour for another, if you want to.

A game changer
I used to copy and paste smaller areas of my patterns into PowerPoint making it easier for my old eyes to see the different thread codes after I enlarged them. Some of my patterns got to be 30 pages.
My daughter showed me what she uses and insisted I use this. And am I glad she did!
Click on the code I’m stitching and it’s highlighted so I just need to concentrate on it.

So expensive
I was enjoying this app, but suddenly locking everything behind a paywall of $30AUD a year is rediculous

This app allows me to do cross stitch patterns that I wouldn’t be able to do without it. I love it!!!!
Blackwork, backstitch, fractional stitches and French knots
I love how easy this app makes it to keep track of what I’m working on, but I would love it if there was some way to mark up blackwork patterns, backstitch, fractional stitches and French knots. I can fiddle it with patterns that include partial stitches, and even work out where basic backstitching and French knots go by adding the pattern to the Pictures tab as well as the Markup tab, but can’t mark them up. Blackwork is more complicated and I’d love to be able to track progress in the same way as I can track basic cross stitch.

App Owner is Fabulous!
This cross stitch app is the only one my family and I use. It has wonderful functionality and the beauty is that you can load paper patterns which is all our family uses. I’ve been really struggling getting a large paper pattern loaded, so reached out to James for help. He was able to get the pattern loaded and helped my understanding along the way. James, thank you so much! Family members each have paid for the subscription for years and we agree, this is one of our most used apps. Thank you for allowing for us to vote for future enhancements. Looking forward to future updates.

Bring your projects to life!
What a fantastic app! It really brings the patterns to life. I love that you can see how much longer the project will take, how many stitches are remaining of each color, and even the amount of time you are spending stitching each day. I cannot even imagine using a paper pattern anymore. This is great!
