ON-DEVICE BY DEFAULT
Marmot Stage is built around your privacy:
- Voice input is transcribed on your iPhone using on-device speech recognition. The audio of your ramble never leaves the device.
- Rendered pieces are performed back through Apple's on-device speech synthesizer, including support for Personal Voice on iOS 17+. Nothing is streamed from a server during playback.
- Only the transcript text is sent to our render proxy when you ask Stage to perform a piece — your audio stays on your phone.
- Renders, transcripts, and recordings live on your device, never on our servers. A manual backup export is built in.
