Plants in veg and plants in flower and lights are doing whatever they want instead of connecting to the app I’m kinda freaking out they worked fine with the old app but I can’t get them to connect with the new one and now I can’t reconnect to the old app and my harvest is at risk and my plants are stressed

Absolute junk and customer service is worthless
I bought the entire setup with the Icontoller and Ihub. Every single time one of them updates, I loose some sort of functionality in one or both items. First it was the ihub. I updated to the newest version and lost the ability to control light 2. It works perfect directly plugged into the wall outlet and it works if I plug it into the icontroller. The ihub no longer recognizes it. I contact customer service who can’t comprehend what I’m saying. They want pictures. I sent them still they can’t comprehend what I’m saying. I made a video but since they have no access to social media, they asked that I download some app to send them the video since it won’t play in the email. The app they require doesn’t work either. Now the icontroller has updated and it’s not even recognized in my app any longer and neither is the ihub. I can’t see anything. None of the Bluetooth is working. This company is terrible and highly frustrating. I will never buy another mars hydro product.

Good, most recent update really cleaned things up
I had a very easy time connecting the app with my iControl. It was literally plug and play with the iControl and the other devices hooked up to it.
The app is easy to navigate and straightforward.
I am having not difficulty with the ability to control all of my Mars Hydro devices consistently and with ease. I am currently using an iFresh (in-line fan), a clip fan, thermometer/hygrometer, and the FC4000 light.
Updates are still being released on a regular basis, so hopefully it will improve with time.
The app is easy to navigate and straightforward.

Network unconnected
Updated the app to the latest version and got hit with that… now I can’t use anything!!!

How is this real?
For a company that makes awesome lights and advanced electronics, I find it strange they make the worst app I have ever downloaded. Hours of troubleshooting and calls to customer service, I have an outstanding light that only can utilize 1/2 its features.
I want the last 3 hours of my life back.

Nothing works
This app doesn’t work either, just like the other one. Garbage product and worst customer support. Nothing connects and is impossible to get a response from Mars Hydro.

Got to admit, for the first 30 days the app and devices worked like a charm
Then basically all the smart features stop working, the controller out of the blue is not under the app, you need to factory reset the controller and re set all parameters, also if you have plans to use the csv data, or develop an app around it, DONT, the CSV export once broken cannot be restored
TL:DR: if you want to use smart features for a limited time and then suffer when everything is broken this app and devices environment are for you
Also one last caveat SUPPORT IS INEXISTENTE, I should have gone with vivosun or any other brand, butttt it is what it is

You CAN connect inline fan. No issues so far
No issues with the app so far, seems pretty straightforward
I read another review stating you needed the old app to connect the inline fan. It’s stupid but you have to connect the inline fan to the “Device” port of the smart controller, not the “Fan” port (as indicated in the instructions). They provide a splitter with the smart controller so you can have the fan and the sensor in the same port.

App functionality
App drops out frequently and it will not allow me to log in for extended periods of time. Very frustrating. However, when the app does work, it works nicely.
Oct.2 2025 app works as intended
I got all my accessories going through the smart strip and as long as everything is tuned to the correct channel it works.
Waste of money
Spent over $100 on the system and can’t even make an account to use it I’ve reset the verification code numerous times already no difference fix the app.

Everything with the “grow kit” is subpar quality with very vague “instructions “. The app does nothing, could not get my iHub connected. Waste of time.

Can’t connect inline fan
As the title states you can’t connect inline fan to this app only their other older app so if you have lights and a inline fan you have to have 2 separate apps to control them which is very annoying

This app doesn’t work either, just like the other one. Garbage product and worst customer support.
Some fixes needed for UX
The UX needs some work on the app. The devices you add to the app should be shown when you open the app. Currently you open the app then have to scroll through the tabs to get to the Controller tab to see your controller. Better UX would be to show all your devices on the first tab so you don’t have to scroll through them. Remote access is great!
