The app doesn’t force you to pay as the basic version is really good so that’s really cool and since using it I’ve been able to memorize and learn to write some of hiragana without looking at my notebook

I love this app because I can learn hiragana and katakana while actually remembering it with the exercises it gives me. So when I go on Duolingo and stuff I don’t need it Romanised and I can practice reading it. Even though Duolingo has lessons so you can practise kana, I find it a bit confusing so I always find my way coming back to this app when I feel confused. It’s an amazing cute app and I really recommend. Thank you creators for this app, it’s lowkey so good.

Simple and easy
There’s no subscription needed though it offers a one time purchase of the full resources. So great and basic for learning little by little or lots in one sitting! Even some positive punishment! When you get 5 wrong you see an ad! No annoying ads while you study u til you get some wrong! Such a brilliant app and I love learning Japanese with this!

Super practical.
Even for the free version, it still helps you a lot! I managed to learn and master my hiragana and katakana! It also gives you drills and easy vocabulary! Wonderful.
Perfect if your just learning kana
Perfect tool to learn kana. Basic flashcards for each letter basically with audio practice too. It won’t teach you how to write the letters but I wasn’t looking for that anyways.

Good use of time
This is a well designed memorization aid. It’s easy to use, and fast enough to not get monotonous. You can benefit quickly from even a few minutes here and there. Some of the sounds are hard to distinguish from each other but it didn’t get in the way of learning

Oh god this app seriously got me to memorize Hiragana and Katakana like exactly in a week. It’s amazing that you can do the drills and like choose which ones you want to do, and like how you can do tiny adjustments to how you want to learn. It is def an app you should try, even if you may not like it. Well I do, but it’s really good even without paying and I was so happy for that. This is a must try app!

Simple but helpful
It is easier than most apps to just hop on and practice on the characters, it’s design is not too complex looking and one can hop on whenever for a while or a short time while waiting for smth it is helping me beat the procrastination of studying!
GREAT APP! GREAT CONCEPT!
I love how the app doesnt force ads down your throat but instead gives you a fair deal, if you get 5 questions wrong you get 1 ad, you dont have to buy anything or wait to refill hearts like duolingo, also i love when they show the meaning of all the words after you get it right. ALSO THE LITTLE RED GUY GREETING YOU IN JAPANESE IS SO CUTE, those three things are the ones that stand out the most to me.

i love Maru! if you want to learn kana i so recommend this app. it’s free with unlimited practice and very few adds compared to other apps. enjoyable and helpful format for learning as well!
