Last, money-grabbing throes of a desperate game
After 4,278 days I’m calling it quits. What a sorry decline. Constant, cynical changes to keep players in the app for as long as possible:
- Heroic mode that doubles clear times.
- Daily quests that conflict with Heroic characters, so you have to grind other modes.
- Nerfs that go against the speed-meta established over 12 years
- Laggy menus
- Basic, obvious bugs that show minimal playtesting
A message to the developers: the quality of time spent is more important to players than the quantity of time spent. And if you’re chasing the whales, they’ll only stick around as long as there’s an active community of players.
A message to would-be players: find something else. I used to love this game, but it’s been in a downward spiral for years. For the past 12 months it’s been in freefall.
A message to the people still playing: have some dignity and demand better from these developers. They are preying on player apathy to keep milking your wallets that little bit longer until they shut the game down. They are putting no love or care into it.

Don’t bother
I’ve been playing this game since the beginning and it’s basically unplayable. I can’t do more than one “fight” or the game crashes. I can’t do pvp at all, not that I mind that. But I can’t play events, do daily events- nothing. Apparently, they did some big update, but I see absolutely no difference.
My phone used to get really hot if I played for a long time, and though I can’t confirm it because I can’t play long enough, I’m sure that problem still persists.
In conclusion- don’t bother downloading. I’m not sure why they haven’t just closed the game down. It’s obvious they’ve lost almost all the players they had, and I can’t imagine anyone willing to spend real money on a game they can’t even play.

Let’s charge real money for characters then nerf them 3 weeks later.
Game is super buggy after several turnovers of the developer. Selling characters for real money only to need them 2-3 weeks later. That’s not shady at all. Also, somehow the latest devs think longer play sessions are better. They probably are for their internal metrics but not so much for the end users.

Love this game.. but recently
The game keeps freezing and making me restart the app completely. pVP events I come so close to winning and it just freezes.

Latest Update bricked my 3 year old IPad, it’s 2 big!
I cannot even play the game I love now because the update is sooo huge, because of Unity updates that a 3 year old Ipad with NOTHING ELSE ON IT CAN RUN THIS DARN UPDATE! After 9 years of daily play, forced out because of being poor, just sad! I can’t help I got stage 4 Cancer & am broke now for whatever life I have left.💔🥺🥺🥺

Version R343 buggy
Stuck at 50% during login. I’ve been very patient with this game with all the ups & down after transitioning to Unity. But now I can’t support this poor quality of an excuse of a game.

Update 6/03/26 - game is still buggy. for about a month now, when i intend to close the app by swiping up and out, the app freezes and takes the phone with it. my phone is unresponsive for a few minutes until the app comes around. how long has the developer been promising to fix this amazing game engine they switched to?
Update 3/13/26 - if it's not one thing it's something else. For about 2 weeks now, the game freezes/crashes during gameplay, then I'm forced to use a heal power up to start all over again b/c the game thinks I retreated.
Update 8/7/25 - app won't load past opening splash screen. It's stuck at 42%. Why are you doing this developers? Still your fault.
Latest update broke the app. It won't open now. I am not able to play now and can't earn points to earn rewards and it's your fault.

Crashes all the time
I used to really love this game. But with the updates this game freezes constantly and crashes. It’s just not worth my time any more.

Unplayable
The game itself is really fun and a great time killer…..when it actually works. I’ve played on many platforms since its original release off and on: pc, android and iPhone. There’s no way in hell a game of this nature should be constantly freezing and glitching out on a iPhone 17 Pro or any iPhone for that matter. Feels like the developers just don’t care anymore and all the complaints are being ignored. There are way more complex games out there that run smooth as silk and this should be one of them but sadly it fails hard.

Frequent Crashes / Possible 60fps Issue on iPhone 17
On iPhone 17 and the latest version of iOS, I am experiencing frequent app crashes accompanied by screen shaking/flickering! There is a high probability that a 60fps issue is the primary reason. I hope this gets fixed as soon as possible.

This game used to be amazing
I found this game before the pandemic and played daily for a handful of years. Whatever game engine update they did within the last year ruined it. Game crashes all the time, can’t get through a single round without it shutting itself down and losing progress. It’s so frustrating that I rarely play anymore.

You are incompetent
A year after your disastrous, infamous ‘upgrade’ the game still glitches and freezes, giving you an automatic loss. So frustrating to have complained about this for a year, only to fall on deaf ears.
Game needs repairs
Gameplay and character development are fine. My rating is coming from the constant crashing on iOS (no issues with Steam). Game freezes, causing the phone to freeze for up to 10 seconds before you can force close the app. Additionally, this will cause characters taking damage for leaving a match. I’ve had to burn through too many health packs to compete in events and there hasn’t been any compensation, however, the dev team is somehow able to create new characters every week. When they allocate their team to fixing game bugs instead of game progression, I’ll change my rating.

Was great for years
This was a daily play for me for literally years. I had spent more time on this game than anything else I had. When it started glitching and having issues I stuck with it for a long time, but at this point I can’t play 5 minutes without a full crash. I finally deleted it yesterday, years of effort gone and the game has barely changed? What destroyed it?

Limited time offers
Fun for a puzzle game. However, worst offers than any of the superhero games. You can’t help but laugh when you see them. It’s like what the hell. Except Marvel Contest of Champions that’s like playing roulette at the casino.
Regular crashes on iPhone 16 Pro
Crashes of every kind: crashes that instantly close the game; crashes that cause the screen to flicker in a seizure-inducing way; crashes that cause the phone to be in a complete frozen state for several minutes whilst becoming burning hot.
It’s been like this for months now and somehow gets worse with each update rather than better.
This game is in its death throes, and only seems to be kept alive (barely) to wring the final bits of cash from a dwindling player base.
There is zero investment in making it more stable. There is zero respect for the players still trying to get some enjoyment from the game. There is zero future for it if it continues this way. The publisher should really put the game - and us - out of its misery.

This game used to be excellent. Please slow down releasing new “content “ until you fix all of the glaring flaws. The game keeps freezing up so bad I can’t even shut off my phone. Ridiculous
