Can’t sign in or update password
This app worked great until the update and now I cannot sign in and no option to update password. Unusable for me now unfortunately.

I love Masterbooks curriculum, their App, and their Academy Courses. I just have one minor tweak to the app I would love to see. I would love to be able to watch a live stream or replay of live stream as Picture in Picture I think it is called where I can leave the MB App and still be able to either listen to the streaming video or watch it while I go into other apps and whatnot. Much like I can with YouTube. Otherwise I love the community on the app and the user interface is pretty easy to navigate.

Censorship Galore
Masterbooks curriculum is amazing. The app also works well. But the level of censorship within the app by admins makes it not supportive at all. You can only recommend or discuss MB products. Heaven forbid you ask what supplemental reading would be good to add, or any question at all that doesn’t lead right back to Masterbooks.com where they can make a sale. It feels very disingenuous and like they’re only worried about promoting their products. It’s really a shame because it’s a fantastic curriculum, but unless you enjoy censorship, don’t expect much encouragement in the app.

Unable to log in
I have not been able to log in to this app at all. I’ve tried resetting my password, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, but nothing has worked! I can log in online, but for some reason it’s not letting me log in. What’s going on?
Censorship
First off, Masterbooks curriculum is AMAZING, and the app works great. However…the app is heavily monitored and censored. Per their rules, all recommendations must lead back to MB. You cannot even recommend wholesome chapter books that may go well with their curriculum. Because of that, it makes it difficult to connect with others and to get honest suggestions that aren’t published by MB. You probably couldn’t even recommend the Bible because they don’t publish it. They don’t allow discussion of buying/selling used products (I assume because they’ll lose money). They also forbid you from sharing helpful devotionals not published by MB. 🤷🏻♀️ the censorship really rubs me wrong. Don’t expect true connection here. As long as you understand that you’re not allowed to mention anything other than MB, (even a prayer- they kindly suggest you simply comment “praying” rather than writing something out), you’ll be ok.

Amazing Support Group
I love all the help and feed back that l get when I post a question for help. I also love that I can post amazing achievements that my girls have done. I like being able to help answer other peoples questions and see their Children’s amazing achievements.

The MB app is the best homeschool community there is! So much encouragement can be found throughout the posts here. So different than any other social media out there. All you will find here is love, support, encouragement, Godly advice, prayer, and so much more!!! So thankful for this family!!! 🥰🥰

A must have for every MasterBook teacher
This app is such a wonderful tool to have! From the teaching tip lives, to the community groups where I can find encouragement and also be challenged as a Homeschool teacher. I also love how easy it makes accessing the Academy videos!
Masterbooks is the best!

Rules and admins ruin the experience
Here’s the thing, the app itself is fine - the admins and rules are the problem. The admins are so strict and quick to correct it leaves me hesitant and sweaty palmed anytime I post! For example, you are NOT allowed, under any circumstances, to share or even mention any book title that does not come from Masterbooks. This means if you were to post a question along the lines of, “what are some good read aloud chapter books to go along with the history lessons?” Or “anyone have advice for some clean reading for my fourth grader?” You will IMMEDIATELY receive a comment from an admin stating that no one can provide an answer that comes from outside the Masterbooks catalog. And if, heaven forbid, someone responds with a harmless Charlotte’s Web or Little House suggestion, they will promptly be scolded. Never have I seen so many apologies from CUSTOMERS to the admins. This happens over and over and over - to everyone. Isn’t the point of this to connect and encourage homeschool families? I understand not allowing other curriculum to be promoted, but reading books? Especially considering Masterbooks doesn’t offer anything in that area! I was excited to get advice from trusted, Christian moms about appropriate reading material, little did I know that is practically a crime! Unfortunately, this makes me question whether this organization really has their students’ best interest at heart as they claim - seems like it’s more about the buck. I was naive I suppose to assume otherwise, but as a faithful Masterbooks educator for years this has proven to be very disappointing.

Great curriculum, great company
I love Masterbooks! The community is wonderful and the app is great. So easy to use and full of support from MB staff and other families. The teaching tip videos are amazingly helpful and very practical. Thanks so much for all you do Masterbooks!
The Curriculum is great...
The app is heavily monitored. You cant actually have an opinion unless it’s positive and in their favor. I get they want to promote their brand only but this is not a place for support in homeschooling. The app is heavily monitored like the Facebook group. If you’re a mom who uses their books and you want support in your homeschooling journey, look somewhere else.

Wonders of Creation 9 volume set
This was my first purchase from Masterbooks. I’m impressed with the quality of the books. My student (Grandchild) spent hours reviewing these books the day they arrived. She absolutely ❤️ them. Originally, I thought I’d use them as reference books but upon reviewing the content, and finding out that Masterbooks has teacher’s guides for this set, I plan to use them as part of her Science curriculum over the next few years.
