A Game I Used to Love Has Become Pay-to-Play
I have played Matchington Mansion for years, and I use to absolutely love this game. Unfortunately, I’m seriously considering quitting.
The game has become incredibly frustrating. I repeatedly get stuck on one puzzle, and feels nearly impossible to move forward unless I spend money. I have paid plenty of times to buy coins, extra moves, and extended my playing time because I enjoy the game. But lately,it feels like the game is designed to make you pay if you actually want to keep playing.
I understand that this is a business and that you need to make money. But there is a big difference between offering purchases and making people feel like purchasing is the only realistic way to progress.
And the side games? After playing for years, I have never won one. At this point, the events are more frustrating than fun.
I shouldn’t have to continually spend money just to get past a puzzle that I have been stuck on for days. When I finally do pay to continue, it feels less like a reward and more like being forced to buy my way out.
I’m a longtime player who has already supported this game financially. I shouldn’t feel punished for choosing not to spend money every time I play.
The game used to be about having fun, decorating the mansion, and seeing what was coming next. Now it feels like more and more like “pay to play”.
That is incredibly disappointing because I really do love this game. But loyalty works both ways. If you want longtime players to stick around, give us a reason to keep playing-even when we don’t spend money.
Please listen to your longtime players. Make the puzzles challenging, but make them fair. Give players a reasonable chance to progress without constantly reaching for their wallets. Otherwise, you may eventually make your most loyal players quit.

Updates
Updates take way too long. You can't move on until there is an update. Not a fan of the collecting cards little game. Seems like every app is doing that now. It's annoying.
Why do you keep ruining it?!!??
Wouldn’t it make more sense to keep the game enjoyable than to constantly make it so you can never complete any of the events???? Why am I constantly waiting for new content or for something new in the token store?? SAME EXACT STUFF CONSTANTLY!!! The main mansion has been totally forgotten, never even any new themes for it. That book is stupid! What’s it for?? Why can’t we finish old rooms or use our tokens to get furniture and decorations that we actually want instead of you making us wait WEEKS AND WEEKS for something new!??? Gah!!!

Who needs birdie tokens?
You celebrate things by giving me birdie tokens. What are they for? I have 73 thousand of them, and no idea what to do with them. I can buy furniture I don’t want. A better idea would be to be able to exchange them for gold coins which are a lot more use to me.
The other moan is don’t give me 10 mins free time then force me watch 6 minutes of how to play another feature game. Thus wasting my free time.
Apart from that…love it! Even though most of my time is in bonus levels! 😂

It would be ZERO stars if I could. To many ridiculous non-decorating items to do
I played this before & started it over. It used to be fun. You work hard to get points to decorate the house & only about 1/8, if that is actually to pick a decoration. I’m done! Delete
