Math-O-Mat is my secret weapon is getting my kids to practice fundamental math concepts. And Math-0-Mat’s secret weapon is how simple it is. It is fun and easy to understand and use — my kids figured it out immediately — and its simple concept focuses kids on the math while the kids focus on the game.
In a world where every app seems to want to be everything to everyone, it is a joy to have an app that does one simple thing simply perfectly. The best part for me is that I don’t mind how much my kids play it because while they are having fun I know they are drilling fundamentals.
It also doesn’t hurt that its design and concept brings back fond memories of Pong from a parent’s early days with computer games.
