Didnt know something like this exist!

It's Given Me So Much Peace of Mind
Two weeks in, and I'm genuinely impressed. My dog has MMVD Stage B1, so keeping an eye on his heart rate and breathing matters a lot to me, especially since he's turning 15 this year. I used to sit there manually counting and timing his breaths every day. With the Maven sensor, that whole process is so much simpler. The charts make it easy to spot trends, and I love being able to pull detailed reports on his heart rate and respiratory rate to bring to his vet appointments. It's worth every penny. The peace of mind alone has made caring for my senior pup so much less stressful.

Maven is awesome

This device is a game changer! It caught an increase in my dog's water intake before I even noticed it myself. I can track her sleep p patterns and so much more, all in one place. It’s taken so much of the worry out of the pet ownership. Love this little thing!

No Technical Support

I have been emailing for technical support because the app will not let me change my password and have yet to hear from anyone. At this point I would like a refund due to the lack of not being
able to use the app.

Great start to wearable health monitor for pets

I came across Maven while in search for something to help me track my 8 year old cat’s asthma episodes, especially if they were happening when I was not home. My only caveat for this is that it’s not a live tracker for breathing & heart rate. It only records data when the pet is settled, so these are resting breathing & resting heart rates. It would be helpful to know the range throughout pet activity, especially if it triggers an episode like asthma. Although the journal section is helpful in describing what my cat’s day looks like, if he’s napping or playing by the hour.

I was surprised by the AI analysis, truthfully. My cat was healthy for the most part so it’s been several months of using Maven before I had any concerning symptoms to enter. When he had some bout of gut issues affecting his bowel movement, I started entering them on the app to track when it started. It was cool seeing the analysis on my feed recognize we had an upcoming dental appointment and to reconsider talking to our vet team because of his recent symptoms. It adjusts based on the information you continue to put in, which I first thought were just generic auto responses so that was really cool to see.

The battery lasts about a week, so it’s not as long lasting as what wearable tech goes for humans but honestly I can’t complain. It charges back up to 100% pretty quickly and we’re good to go.

Other wearable techs for pets are mostly for location tracking, but it’s exciting to see Maven start on focusing on health. The app could still use some tweaks, but from my experience it’s mainly cosmetics for ease of data input and review. I don’t regret my purchase and can’t wait to see this grow in the pet health industry. :)

DO NOT RECOMMEND

I had such high expectations reading about the Maven tracker but it’s been a huge let down! Not only does the company suck at customer service but the tracker itself is not reliable. It doesn’t track in real time and doesn’t give you the updates for hours at a time. My senior boxer has multiple heart issues which puts him in a high risk zone and this has not helped one bit. Do not spend your $$ here and find something that you can actually rely on.

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're truly sorry it didn't meet your expectations, especially given that your boxer has serious heart concerns. We completely understand how important reliable monitoring is in that situation. We know our support team has already reached out to explain how Maven's heart rate tracking works (continuous background monitoring aggregated into 30-minute validated averages, rather than live streaming), but we recognize that if that wasn't clearly communicated upfront, it can feel like the product isn't working as expected. If you'd like to continue the conversation, we're here and happy to help make sure Maven is set up in a way that gives you the most value for your dog's specific needs. You can reach us at hi@maven.pet.

Battery

I like how I can track my dog but the battery lasts only a day or two which is very annoying to have to charge it constantly. My bellabeat bracelet battery lasts days compared to the Maven.

Response from developer

Hi, thank you for the kind words. We're glad Maven is helping you stay connected with your dog! Battery life can vary quite a bit depending on usage. Our Wi-Fi sensor can last up to 8 days on a single charge. If yours is draining faster than expected, it might be worth checking your connectivity settings or reaching out to us at hi@maven.pet. We'd love to help you get the most out of it!

Love my vet! Such a great service!

Okay so I thought this was too good to be true since they’re new but I was blown away! I was assigned to an amazing vet (Dr. Carolina) who showed so much care and attention to my dog. I have a rescue who is anxious and the diet and behavior tips the vet gave are already helping her be calmer. So much more adorable and faster than my local vet!
