What's New in Max Photo Frames

3.1.0

August 15, 2026

NEW: iCloud Sync Your saved presets and My Captions now follow you between your iPhone and iPad, using your own iCloud account. Off by default; nothing leaves your device until you switch it on in the Hub. Whichever device you edited last wins, your work in progress is never touched by an incoming change, and personal details such as birthdays stay on each device. Offline is not an error: keep working, and your edits sync when you are back. Backup & Restore Save everything, your presets, your captions, your settings, to a single file you keep. Reinstall the app or set up a new phone, import the file, and your work is back exactly as you left it. Captions that sit behind your subject Behind Subject text now tucks neatly under the frame border when 3D Pop is on. If you prefer the old look, with the caption crossing over the border, choose the new "Behind subject, over frame" layer. Captions you have already placed are left exactly where they are. Smaller saved photos Framed photos with 3D Pop or a background effect now save as JPEG instead of PNG, around 1.5 MB where they used to be 14 MB. Same picture, same size, a tenth of the space. Photos that genuinely need transparent corners still save as PNG. Also in this update • Set The Big Day date straight from the Hub. No Date Stamp needed. • Three casing choices for every piece of text: AA for capitals, Aa as written, aa for lower case. • Day counts now start at Day 1, the way a trip counts days. • Choosing a date for a photo that has none now works properly, and the date belongs to that photo alone. • A caption could lose its colour and size the moment you opened its Style tab. It keeps them now. • Presets that used built-in captions could stop finding them after an update. They are repaired automatically on the next launch. • Empty caption slots left behind by deleted captions are cleaned up automatically.
