I'm ten I have had this for a couple years I love it it makes me feel smart and it's super fun once I scraped my knee I knew I have to grab this it looked kinda cool.

Doesnt work 95% of the time, waste of money, buy their competitors product, it works better!

This app works great- but it’s a little hard to understand at first because of an error message that pops up saying you’re not connected to the internet. Ignore that- the microscope itself is basically sending out a signal as if it’s its own wi-fi network but it’s only so you can connect to it no matter where you are, which is really handy if you need to operate this thing out in the wilderness somewhere. So connect to the microscope’s WiFi signal, then open the app, ignore the error message and if all you see is red lines, take the cover cap off your microscope lens. 🤣
This app mainly just allows you to connect to your microscope and take pictures but you can also adjust resolution, rotate the image and then send the photos into your photos folder. Once it’s in there you can edit it like you would any other photo. This is a great app and easy to use once you get it working the first time.

No longer recognizes that camera is connected
I’ve had this wifi microscope camera for 3 years and with the recent update, the app no longer recognizes that the phone is connected to the camera on wifi
Waste of money only works occasionally
I just upgraded my phone and used microscope and app a few times with additional difficulty getting on the “local network” to see the microscope. Now cannot use at all, keeps saying to connect to WiFi and cannot use microscope at all. Waste of money for less than 6 months of use.

I copied this review from another because it’s the exact problem I’m having.
I unpacked the camera, read the
"improved" instructions here among the App Store reviews, and tried to use it. The Unsecured Network Max-See-40d8 shows up in my WiFi settings. I connect to it. I go back to the app and see nothing. The app prompts me to "connect the device through WiFi," and jumps me over to WiFi Settings. Now the Max-See network tells me there is no internet connection. I've restarted the iPhone, restarted the camera.
Nothing. No image whatsoever. This feels like I wasted $30 on the device.

Garbage
Connect to max see wifi then switch to app and it says connect to wifi. This is an endless loop. I would give it zero stars if I could.
Connectivity
I’ve only been able to get it to work once. It just keeps telling me to connect through WiFi which I am but the app doesn’t seem to think so. Bluetooth connectivity would make way more sense
Worked once
Worked one time, after 5 mins of failing to connect via WiFi, it finally did connect to my iPhone. Looked at a quick rock and some paper, assuming it would work in the future. But the second time I attempted to use this it did not produce an image, simply kept saying please connect to WiFi even though my device was indeed already connected to the WiFi for the max-see device. Perhaps not worth the 40 dollars

No support for iPhone 16
I’ve used this for a couple of years and it was a great little device, but it will not work with my iPhone 16. It keeps telling me to connect to the Wi-Fi even though I am connected to it.

Works on old but not new
Thus is a great little device that I’ve used for years and works well on my 2 old iPhones a 6 and a 6+. Also works well on my old iPad which gives best picture due to its size, but on iPhone 16 pro max the app runs and the WiFi connects to max-see but the app can’t see the WiFi connection and these folks have no did stable support. Sad for a formerly great little device and app. Caveat emptor!
