Welcome to Mayday Fuel App!
BE AWARE: this app is BEST OPTIMIZED FOR THE IPAD 9.7”. It can be seen on iPad 11”, AIR, or 12.9” but some content might be offset.
Features:
- Build up your awareness before holding.
- Display your fuel options before committing to DEST
- Insert all data and press “Next”
- Display your options.
o The last page explains how it is calculated.
Way of use [press the tutorial button for more information]:
- Insert all your data. Average fuel flow (FF) while holding & the fuel when you reach the waypoint. Then you have 2 options:
o 1st: fuel to leave the HOLD + perform the approach + GA & proceed to the ALTNs.
o Normally the ALTN fuel planning information is provided by the the company on the flight plan.
o 2nd: fuel to proceed from the HOLD direct to the ALTNs
o Calculate using the best means that work for you. (ie. Use the SEC flight plan to create a routing from your waypoint to the ALTN and inserting an approach.
