Good app, annoying notifications
Good app, works well, good taxi service. App doesn’t allow me to turn off advertising notifications and sends one every few days, but needs notifications for driver arrival. Annoying and invasive. Good app otherwise.
Was a great little app
Was great before the Easter holidays now it never lets me book any taxis on it anymore.
It’s okay
The app is okay - when it works. I recently moved back down to Dumfries so was happy a local company had a cab app. It is helpful to be able to hail a cab when you like without the awkwardness of phoning an operator and going through that rigmarole that can be very off-putting. The thing that bugs me is that during “busy” times (7am-10am, 3pm-8pm and the entire weekend) you can’t book but if you call McLeans they can usually find you a cab with a 10 min wait - it would be great if this could in turn be done for the app. Likewise, you cannot prebook for these “peak” times but again if you ring them it’s no bother. I just tried to book a cab for next Friday at 6am and it looked like it would’ve went through OK but for the 8am slot I couldn’t. For cab companies of similar sizes anywhere else I’ve ever been (Glasgow, Edinburgh and towns across central Scotland). I understand them not having the app up and running for late night pickups outside the venue but it’s annoying that it just does not work at all during busy times.
