Meal planning time saved

Meal planning time went down from 2hrs+ every week to 20mins max. Still importing tons of recipes regularly.
Food scan and barcode scan features are very useful for nutrition data for our kid

AI features are surprisingly useful

What I love most about Mealie AI is the AI Hub. The food scan works amazingly well. I can just snap a picture of something I’m eating, and it identifies the dish and gives me the nutrition instantly.
The recipe scan is just as impressive. I’ve been able to take photos of handwritten or printed recipes and the app turns them into neat, saved recipes in seconds. No typing needed.
And the chat feature is like having a personal cooking assistant. I’ve asked for substitutions, quick recipe ideas, and even saved the recipes it suggested.
These features actually work in real life, and they’ve made cooking so much more convenient for me. Highly recommend!

Helping me maintain a healthy lifestyle and develop good eating habits

Being a cooking enthusiast who likes to eat healthy too, this app has become essential for me. It helps me store all the recipes and on the fly give me the calorie count for something I am about to eat , by just pointing my phone at it. This helps me maintain a good eating habits, making me healthy day by day.
Also reduces the mental struggle of figuring out what to cook by giving good suggestions.
Developer can improve the suggestions based on the history of what I have already cooked recently to add variety to my healthy meals 😋

Very helpful and easy to navigate.

I have cooked for so many years and collected recipes from everywhere; my mom, grandmother, magazines, and handwritten cards. Mealie AI makes it incredibly easy to bring them all into one place. I just take a picture and it turns it into a clean recipe I can use anytime.
The guided cooking steps are clear and simple and there are no annoying pop up ads that get in the way. I really appreciate the food scan feature too. This is a very thoughtful app that will make meal planning for my family much easier and less time consuming.

Finally an app that actually helps me cook!!

I’ve tried so many recipe and meal-planning apps, and Mealie AI is the first one that actually makes my life easier. I just upload a recipe or take a picture and the app organizes everything perfectly. The “Start Cooking” step-by-step mode is my favorite: no scrolling, no ads, no distractions.
I’ve saved so much time during the week because grocery planning is automatic now. If you cook at home even a few times a week, this is the one app that’s worth keeping!!
