Needs some work.

App has a nice interface and is fairly simple to use but lacks helpful features. A 6 second option would be nice as well as a vibration feature that goes off when the timer does, the option to change a normal HR and RR range for people working in veterinary environments, and a hands free timer only with a calculator.

Response from developer

Thank you for your feedback. The good news is that the Medtimer already has all of these features. The 6 second timer and the vibration can both be controlled from the settings screen, which can be accessed from the cog icon. The HR and RR ranges can be fully customised, and a range of preset veterinary charts are available with the Medtimer Pro upgrade. We are always happy to hear feedback if you still do not find what you need.

Exemplary

Used since I think 2013…today I’m citing it as one of the first apps that have helped me get accurate data and note small changes more quickly in my patient.

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback and your continued use of Medtimer. We hope you continue to find Medtimer useful far into the future.

disappointed

i bought pro so that i could have it on it on my watch face/screen and it doesn’t work, it’s a scam don’t waste your money.

Cool but not reccomended

I thought this app would be cool to help me get through vitals faster on my apple watch, but when I try to take a patient’s pulse my watch vibrates as-well and it throws me off counting patients pulse.. I don’t recommend using it, I also always seem to get a inn-accurate pulse on the app than what I counted in my head.. the app always counts a pulse as too low and somehow my patient sees the screen and gets concerned due to how obvious it is that im using a app.

Response from developer

We are sorry to hear Medtimer wasn't as useful to you as you had hoped. There are two features in the app which may change that for you. Firstly, if you go to the "Settings" from the main screen, you can control both vibration and sound independently to get them exactly to your liking, including turning both off. Secondly, once you have finished the timer, you can edit the beat count to make up for any shortfall. The new rate will then be displayed in the results table. These features are available on the watch and mobile device too.

Needs updates

Needs Apple Watch series 10 support. Limited instructions on how to add to Apple Watch

Bring it back to Apple Watch

I’m a nurse and loved using this to count respirations but I can’t use it on my watch anymore. Please bring it back to Apple Watch I don’t like the idea of pulling out my phone to use the app.

Response from developer

We are sorry to hear that you cannot use the app on your Watch. The app is still available for the Apple Watch, and has been tested for newer devices including Apple Watch Ultra as well as older devices back to watchOS 8. Please feel free to get in touch with us via the feedback system within the mobile app, and we will try to offer some advice on how to get the app back on your Apple Watch.

Apple Watch series 10

Great app but will not open on new watch. Hope this gets fixed

Perfect

Considering this is a free app without advertising, I’m impressed. The interface is clean and easy to use, there’s no mess or fluff, and I can count pulse/resps now whilst multitasking

Response from developer

Thank you for taking the time go give us feedback. We hope you continue to find Medtimer useful.

Please give the 15 second timer back instead of the 10!

Please put the 15 second timer back my colleagues and I use that one the most frequent. And it’s the most accurate for us with adults patients. ): this app is 5/5 stars with the 15 second timer

Garmin

Love this app!! Use it every day working in peds. Can you make it compatible with Garmin??

On Apple Watch

This is terrible app on Apple Watch. It refuses to downloaf

Finally updated

Thank you so much for updating this app in what seemed like a very long time, especially as the update to Watch OS had broken this app on the Apple Watch. Now able to use on my watch again which is great.

Used to LOVE

Has stopped working on my apple watch, I used to use it at work ALL the time, but now it shuts down every time i open it on my watch!

Response from developer

We are sorry that you are experiencing issues with the Medtimer Watch app. We support older operating systems back to watchOS 8.0. This means that we support the Apple Watch Series 3 and newer devices if they are upgraded to run watchOS 8. We will endeavour to keep this support in place the forseeable future. If you are still experiencing issues, please use the "Contact Us" section from the settings screen within the Medtimer iPhone app. We will try to assist you further. Thank you for using Medtimer.

Use it all the time!

The only gimmick I have with this app on my watch is that sometimes it’ll glitch on me. I have the Ultra 2 and there are many times that I’ll press the app button to count respirations and it’ll force close on me. After about 5-6 attempts it’ll open for me. Other than that I love it!

Response from developer

Thank you for your positive feedback on our watch app. We are sorry you have been experiencing issues. We believe our latest update should resolve this issue for you. We have updated Medtimer to work with newer devices including the Apple Watch Ultra 2. We hope it works for you first time now. If not, you please use the "Contact Us" section from the settings screen within the Medtimer iPhone app. We will look to resolve the issue from there. Thank you.

This is no longer working on my Apple Watch and it’s very useful when in patient room. The app is useless on my phone and I only got it for my Apple Watch. Please fix this!

please make compatible with watchOS 8.8.3

do not get if you have an apple watch series 3, won’t work :( i previously had the app with no problems, loved the app but note is incompatible with my watch.

Medtimer on Apple Watch

Unfortunately the system stopped to working in the Apple Watch. Someone can let me know how can I fix this problem? Thanks

Response from developer

We are sorry that you are experiencing issues with the Medtimer Watch app. If your Medtimer App on your iPhone has been upgraded, but your watch is running an older version of watchOS, the old Medtimer Watch app is removed. Previously this would have been anything lower than watchOS 9.4. I am pleased to say that we have just released a new version that will now support older operating systems back to watchOS 8.0. This means that we support the Apple Watch Series 3 and newer devices if they are upgraded to run watchOS 8. We will endeavor to keep this support in place for as long as possible. If you are still experiencing issues, please use the "Contact Us" section from the settings screen within the Medtimer iPhone app. We will try to assist you further. Thank you for using Medtimer.

Suddenly not working on Apple Watch

I loved using this for my newborn assessments. Allowed me to focus on what k was hearing vs watching the clock. It suddenly stopped working though. I even deleted and reinstalled and made sure everything was up to date. Works on the phone but won’t open on the watch. Since I can’t pull out my phone in my patient room this has made the app useless, I hope there will be a fix!
