Riddled with bugs
This app has been plagued with countless bugs for years. It feels like a beta version that was never tested before release, and improvements to its functionality never come. Functionality is bare minimum. Would never recommend.

Meetup, is still not user-friendly
We should have an option of being able to go out of an event when we’re creating it so we can grab links to put in there. There is no reason why we lose our event if we don’t have all of the information available do

Who is gonna pay 9 dollars a week for this. MAKE A SETTING SO IT QUITS ASKING ME TOO JOIN MEETUP PLUS EVERY TIME. Come on man. I’ve about had it with you clowns.
Waste of space, unreliable
The separate app for organizers is not a proper app. Much of what it does is done by opening your browser and passing credentials across. The phone recognises that you are accessing meetup via browser and suggests you open the regular Meetup app. Ridiculous!

No Auto Save Features
I just spent the last 45 minutes writing all of the details of an event using the mobile app, and through one easy swipe in the wrong direction, the entire draft disappeared! I clicked into drafts to see if it automatically saved and was immediately let down to discover there is no auto save feature. 😵💫🤯

Some issues
I can’t leave my organizer role 2 groups that are defunct. I still pay for them.
Also it’s hard to get to my groups from the home page. Where it says “your groups “ it only shows the groups you belong to, not organize.
These are problems, especially the dropping of a group once hosted.

This app is not working well!
My new members are not receiving my announcements or much of my communication either them.
Some features are great, some features are terrible
When this app works, it works really well. Many features run smoothly while others are so bad, it’s almost unusable.
Reusing old event cover photos from previous events can only go back to the last ten events. Before that, those photos are lost and cannot be downloaded nor saved from previous events.
The issue of losing text and text repeating when writing an event description is gone but that issue lasted on the organizer app FOR A YEAR!
Don’t even get me started on the location mapping and GPS. UNUSABLE! The location map cannot find several addresses, it makes it extremely difficult to add new addresses (you have to wait until the app cannot find any results for what you are typing), it is constantly finding incorrect addresses when you type the full name or the full address (street, number, city, state, and zip code), and whenever you get the chance to save a new address, the app forgets it for all future new events and you have to type the full address all over again EVERY DAMN TIME!

Awful to use
A nightmare to use. Clunky, glitchy, awful

Now it is so much more difficult and complicated and frustrating
Nothing works
Your AI interferes and overrides why I have typed for location and time of day; then support does nothing to fix it per my request. No more Meetup for me
Difficult
I’ve been a hiking guide with Meetup for 12 years now, leading over 2000 hikes and Meetup.com is getting harder to work with. They’re taking more fees out of my pocket and unless I pay still more they take away even more resources. With every passing week it is even more frustrating and impossible to work with Meetup.com!!!!!!!!!!! I am so on the verge of closing down with them!

Absolutely rubbish
A truly rubbish app and confusing subscriptions as organiser. Had a group & subscribed but when renewing via Apple, Meet-up say it does not renew organiser status. Create one good app before having another! Will be requesting refund.
It has been very difficult or impossible to contact with meet up customer service
There have been some issues, I sent a few emails, no one ever replies.
Checkin doesn’t work
Just tried it last week for an event. It forgot every person I checked in, so I had to resort to paper. Checking in itself was also not intuitive. Why not just add (working) check-ins to the one app? Will not use again.
App performance poor etc
The Meetup app and website is not user-friendly at all. Most of the useful functions have been disabled and a lot of new useless features added (at a cost), which only make it more difficult for an organiser to use. It is mainly a money-making venture in my opinion.

And their website currently will not allow you to log in from a browser. There are only sign up pages. If you copy the utl of the login page from a desktop then when you submit your credentials it wants to open the app.
Everything else is trash.

Difficult to set country location
Setting America, USA, or United States as the country is not possible, so I couldn’t enter complete location in the suggested space.
Unusable.
This app has had bugs for years which make it nearly impossible to edit events. The development team seems to be completely out of touch with the reality of the users of the app, despite releasing updates every now and then. I’ll stick to using the web.
